pimpcat 0
Does any 1 know the realistic mpg of a vr6 golf and how many miles you can do on a tank if u drive sensibly (I know if u have a vr6 u more than likely dont drive sensibly)cheers !lol
Seademon 0
mine averages around 23 Mpg - on a Mway I can get 32-33Mpg.Not sure what it'll do on a whole tank - depends on my mood & what roads Im on :0)
pimpcat 0
is that a highline or a normal vr6?which engine model do you have?and is ur golf standard
purple highline monster 0
my highline without any engine mods, only exhaust does 15-20 ish mpg around town and have seen upto 35 mpg on motorway use at sensible speeds! anything above 85 and it guzzles it!! not that i ever go over 70 as its against the law init
Seademon 0
A highline engine is no different to any other OBD2 engine (unless its 1 of the cross over Highlines on an N plate etc)Mines an 2.8 OBD2 - engine mods are air filter, exhaust, chip, de-cat but I think you'll find that even with the mods its not far off standard mpg figures. VR6's arent really made for town driving, more of a cruiser.
binliner 0
Im having to drive mine to work every day now and Im getting 35mpg but am having to show great restraint... none of it is on motorways either
katconcarne 0
mine's got a de-cat, power boost valve jetex 2.5" system and induction kit, it does around 22mpg on short reckless journeys and 30mpg on long hauls. standard it was near enough the same, but tended to stick at 30mpg more of the time
Zonda_ 0
230 miles absolute max from my OBD1 on petrol, 210 on gas. Higher figures probably attainable with easier driving but I didn't buy the fleet for that!
stockers 1
if i'm cruising (not in the gay way, hah beat you to it nick!) motorway 75-80 i will see 35mpg

the matrix 0
The best ive had is 38mpg on the motorway, worst is about 21mpg.Ive also had 270 miles out of a tank before-that was on a motorway doing 70mph all the way. But that was a one off!Normally i cant resist the temptation to introduce the pedal to the carpet!
dave phillipson 0
not being funny put if you wanted good mpg you wouldnt have bought a vr!!!!
squirreleater 0
Generally seems to be 25-30mpg, played with resetting the counter and found it can do up to 40 if your just plodding on dual carrageway/A roads, town kills it-below 20 no problem. They drink when cold, takes a good ten miles to get nice and warm and better mpg.As said, it's a cruising/distance car, certainly not a town car.
