Eat this 2
any leaks??
dubloke 4
look for leaks first off as eat this says! favourites are the thermo housing itsefl as they are prone to cracking, and the aux water pupm sometimes develops a leak too. and the head gasket to, but you say this has been done. lets hope its been done well, take it there's no oil in the header tank normally? mightyvr6 0
check the main water pump and transfer pipe too!
Vimto Vento 0
Also worth checking is the header tank as well. Mine split along the seam, replaced it, this caused the coolent system to pressurise as it should, blew the thermostat housing..... Just a warning...
Nerih 0
yes, all of the above are the common ways that water leaks out of ur vr. to check the water pump, just see if its running straight (or if it wobbles), water should be leaking out of it if its going. also that thermostat housing, somtimes it cracks right under neath it, and its REALLY hard to see where its coming from, i'd use some UV fliud and leave it in your cooland and try to find it the day after using a black light. mtopple 0
I'll look for a leak over the next few days, I got to admit I haven't seen any but not looked hard enough. The company that rebuilt my engine is Storm Developments, if I can't find any leaks I'll get them to do a once over. Cheers!!
