cold weather causing problems

Recommended Posts

I don't mind the snow but when the locks on the doors are frozen and I'm having to warm the key up every morning, its a bit of a faff on. Anyone having to do this? My mate has to do this with polo but he uses a lighter to heat the key blade up.

Having to get a few things repsrayed again due to the snow and grit on the roads eating away at things.

Also the vr doesn't start up as smoothly as it used to, sometime it sounds like its hesitating.

I had new leads fitted in the summer, surelyt they should have lasted longer? When its not cold it starts fine.

I wish I could get the mk3 in the garage but there's an 60s jag taking up space

I thought getting a car cover, do they not scratch the paint?

My locks freez up every morning and i i climb through my passenger door. Tried WD40 but it doesnt work. Cant wait for the sun again gets embarrasing climbing out of my passenger door at the petrol station.

at the end of the day just make sure all the water is out and then put a piece of gaffer tape over the lock mechanism and in the morning can just peal it off :) works on my van
