bungy 2
Without stating the obvious you should be getting drive to the rear when the front are slipping. Your tyres might not be helping.
DooDah 0
I have Toyo Proxes T1-R's fitted at the moment....not very keen on them
b road blaster 0
errm ok so to put the cat among the pigeons to put it buntly there crap compared to a proper 4x4 system yes lots better than a 2wd car but by no means that good do'nt get me wrong not slaging the 4mo's as i love mine but the haldex just don't work right in the snow

craggsy 91
Get a blue haldex controller on it and it kinda makes it like the system it should be im told. Brings back wheels into play quicker. But never driven a 4mo without one so cant say for deffo

bungy 2
Is your clutch not working at all or is it a case of you're not sure what's wrong with it?

craggsy 91
Well i cannot engage gears whilst engine is running. They go in fine when engine is off. Peddle just feels like it has air in system, everyone ive spoke too says they can be a bitch to bleed after changing clutch master cylinder. When it went on way back from snetterton i could change it from 3rd upwards without the clutch being pressed. If I cant sort it then it will be going into APS in Brackley to sort it out for me, as they come very highley rated and are about 1hr away
J5KE F 0
My old syncro, 32' and 4mo where not too clever.. Tyres where not ideal for a start But then when ur used to landys nowt can compare

If it went suddenly its more lightly to be the realise bearing or pressure plate springs that have let go. the fact you could get into gears 3rd upward is just because you where matching the speeds properly as without the clutch pressed it would have been engaged
bungy 2
This link may be of some use http://www.drivetrain.com/parts_catalog/clutch_and_flywheel/clutch_trouble_diagnosis_guide.html How are you gonna get your car there Craig?
craggsy 91
I'd get it trailored over to em. And leave it with em. But hopefully when I try reverse bleeding it it will work.It makes no strange noises when just sat idling on the drive, just feels spongy on clutch peddle
legvw 0
This may sound silly, but try bleeding it the way you have, then leave the slave bleed nipple open and watch for any air bubbles coming out. Do that for a couple of minutes, do the nipple up, then pump the pedal a few times. Then repeat, just opening the nipple to see whats coming out. The fluid in the linewill keep flowing because the reservior is higher then the nipple, but opening the nipple will allow the air to escape from the slave.Sorry to thread jack!!!The tyres you've got aren't really 'winter' tyres, so probably colg up with the snow, which won't help. Reido 0
I find my 4motion good in the snow, although I do have snow tyres and the blue haldex :-p The main downer is ground clearance, Ive lowered on Eibach springs and have ripped the undertray off and god knows what other damage has been done. bungy 2
How much difference does the blu Haldex controller make? Did you have it with standard before you uprated?
Reido 0
Yeah mate, it was standard when I got it, one of the best mods ive done tbh.when driving normaly you dont notice the difference. When you nail it out a corner you can tell its putting more power down through the rear:-d On low traction surfaces like snow its easier to control and is more predictable.
