personally i find pioneer as the best but u do need to spend a fair amount on one to see y the pioneers are so good. not trying to put you down john :P but i hate halfords and find them worst for head units, especially when you choose one there and then compare that price to internet price. its incredible how much they can get away with it!! If you want a cheap decent unit i would suggest the sony CDX-GT929U...............Search this on ebay, last time i looked there were a few buy it nows for 90 quid? dont think theres an sd card slot but theres a usb slot at the back which means hiding ur memory stick in the glove box out of sight! :)

I also hate halfords they are all that is wrong with the world, personafied.

£69 to install amp/speaker wires. (an hour or so job). shitty subs/speakers for twice the price.

numpty staff who hassle you when your browsing and dissapear when your wanting to ask questions about stuff.

anyway rant over....

checked the sony, not abad unit but preffer the kenwood unless anyone knows a reason I should avoid the kenwood unit?

hahaha yes i found mine quite a tight fit... i dont no if any1 has noticed but the back to the headunit on the vr is so minimal! its a complete mission trying to cram the cables behind! may just be me.....i just found looking on the internet is a complete dream fo getting a cheap unit, i found my old head unit i wanted and on most sites it was selling for 350 or more, found an australian site and got it for 150! only difference with the aussie 1 was there was no plug on the loom so i had to splice it onto a halfords loom with crimps but didnt take to much time and was well worth the saving!!!
