Erm...embarrasing stupid question!!

Recommended Posts

My wife knows too much about VW's for my liking. And she and I have been arguing about the difference between the non-highline and the highline. I thought it was A/C, leather and other extras - she says it's got something to do with wheel arches as well.....

She's never wrong so I doubt things are any different this time - can someone tell me the definitive differences between a highline and non-highline....not that I really want to be proved wrong again...... :(

Highlines were only made in black and purple.

They have special badging - vr6 in silver on a black background.

They have black a, b and c pillar interior trims.

They all have colour coded leather interiors and a/c - although leather and a/c was optional on all mk3 golfs.

They have vr6 imprinted on the door sill trim

As for wheel arches all late vr6s didn't have the black plastic trim as found on early ones and gtis.

Probably a couple more differences.

Oh and if it's a highline it will state so on the V5

And highlines came with wooden gear knob and steering wheel i think?

Yeah they all (Highline)come with wooden knobs, but not wooden steering wheel. The majority are leather wheels. I know that there are a few wooden ones out there. Binliner had one on his previous Highline.
