turbos,external or internal wastegate?

A GT3076R is a nice 350 - 450hp turbo mate. With the 0.82 turbine housing.

I would say though that even though the 35R is barely trying at 350hp, it's still a brilliant turbo and will see you through to 600hp no worries.

The thing is, nearly everyone with boost wants more, it's an uncontrollable addiction. Look at Jim, he started off with 10 ish psi, now he's running 17!! It happens to us all.

So personally I always prefer to over build than under build. It's cheaper in the long run ;-)

Oh absolutely, it's definititley fun upsetting owners of these cars with ancient Volkswagens :-)

If I can't beat something, I at least like to make it hard work for them to get past, ha ha!

Happened with a guy in an Audi S5 last year. He was irritating me with his tailgaiting and weaving left to right to see if the road in front of me was clear. So after the car in front moved over, I nailed it and left him reeling in a 5 car length lead....but then he caught up again and had to get to a daft speed to get past, which he did, and then slammed his brakes on to take his turn off. LOL! All that petrol he wasted just to get past me and he only just managed it, LOL!

If I was in the S5 and a car pulled away from me like that, I'd think to myself, that's got some feckin grunt, I'm not even going to try.....but some people don't like their egos being flattened....especially by old crusty VWs!

I only run 13psi boost and have the shortened final drive, so past 130mph I start to lose a bit of steam. I am of course referrring to a run up Bruntingthorpe ;-)
