I really dont like that look... but its all down to personal preference really... personally id stick to the twin round shape.... the only one that doesnt look 'chav' in my opinion....

and a few ppl run milteks on here with no worries, i run jetex and that is great.

DTM's are so 1990's dont bother lol.....

I've always been a fan of the miltek twin jet tail-pipes...

he doesnt mean dtm... and miltek sounds crap tbh and apparently dont fit too well.

Milteks are one of the best exhausts I've owned, I had a power flow, and took it off in the end, too loud, generic tailpipes which where too big and the quality is only as good as the person fitting it.

Fitting was fantastic, I even managed to make it fit on my mk2 VR6 after I wrote the mk3 off at the 'ring

I'd suggest you watch some of my videos on youtube at the ring... plenty of snippets of my zaust at full chatter...

I'm at work atm, so no access to youtube, but if you look on the VR6OC group - http://www.youtube.com/groups_layout?name=VR6OC

There's one called VR6Pete's half lap of the nurburgring....

Just after adenau forest is probably the best bit when the camera pans to the back of the car..... not sure if youtube reduces sound qaulity much, my original mpeg is awesome :)

may that car R.I.P....

advance warning,,,,,,, if you go for straight through zorst dont start moaning when your getting beaten by small engined 'hot hatches' off the light's because you will lose low down torque and power, straight through is only good when used at full chat at the top of the power band and at high speed. on an up note the noise they make is fecking awesome but on a down note it get tiresome and annoyingly to loud after the inittial joy has worn off.

i was running d/p straight through back to to 6x4 oval free flow back box and you could here the thing from street's away even gentle driving. also it dont get to the resonate sweet spot till 95mph in 5th so get's real annoying upto that point as it's at it's loudest at 70-80. any motorway driving means 65-70 or 95+

if your gunna go straight through then de-cat it and get ya mate to run it straight from the 6 branch to the back box.

but seriously the noise does get a bit much and im a firm beleiver in the louder the better.

for the tail pipe design if you want noise you want a single large tail pipe. the 6x3 oval is good as it something like a 4" round. basically for noise you'll need a large tail pipe, fitting twin 2.5 or 3" will give it a nice raspy sound as well as loud fitting a large single tail will add volume and make it sound like a fighter plane when your flooring it

epic fail Pete !! Dtm's are awesome' date=' do something different if u want to mate don't follow the herd, have also heard from a very trusted source that milteks are over rated !

yes i heard this from my mate that works at powerflow he said the amount of miltek systems he's had to repair on vr6's is unreal! also apparently they dont allow for being lowered so whenever they fit them they have to cut them and re-make the pipe.

and yeh i want something different but i dont want it to look pants! i wanna find out what these tail pipes are called my mate called them something but i cant remember what! its def not dtm as they stick out way more and curv up more. i think it COULD look good reminds me of a kinda old german fighter plain style exhaust. OR it might just look cack! haha

need to find out the name so i can have a good search find some pics decide if i like it. any1 any ideas what they're called?

ive got a 97 vr6 an im runnin a de cat pipe and a miltek back box subtle but throaty growl and a up on performance. Nice big oval at the back like the standard cossie back box but thicker looks well in my eyes lol but its your choice.

Please for the love of god dont fit an exhaust like that. Not on a Golf anyway. I like the simple twin round ones, but everyone seems to run these so it would be nice to have something a little different. At the end of the day mate its your car so you can do whatever you want to it. If you like something then who cares what anyone else thinks, as long as you are happy with it thats all that matters.

it doesnt look too bad tbh

altho personally im swaying towards the standard looking twin round tailpipes but then the evil part of me is saying do something different that will cause controversy and alot of people will dislike! lol to me thats a good thing, is that weird?
