tommy 0
you should use g12 plus coolent( the pink stuff), g&s and euro car parts sell it i think,or could buy it from the main dealer, i think i paid £6.25 for 1ltr from vw
mightyvr6 0
g12 + (purple) can be used with g11 (blue) or g12 (pink). Don't mix g12 with g11. G12+ Costs about £7 from VW for 1.5 L.
acf8181 0
i'm not 100% but i think the only reason you're not to mix them is that the pink stuff is long life and the blue stuff sin't...so if you mix them it ain't long life anymore.thats what my local vauxhall dealer told me (they tend to be a bit more knowlegeable than the fools at vw) as i bought some pink vauxhall coolant for my vw's. JONNOS 0
thanks guys, this is easier than talking to foreign mechanics.... are all the coolants good for cold weather? I have some blue stuf which is long life but have pink stuff in there....?!
shail 0
put in G12+. G11 and G12 dont mix - they react and beclome a bropwn sludge which kanckers your engine internals. I think that a trip to the alps is ok with G12+ - you just need to up the concentration, and when you get back, bleed some and top up with deionisied water.
