zoobz 0
Hi peeps,Previously been a MK3 VR6 Highline owner & Rado VR6 however, now i own a 51 plate BMW 318 CI (the 143 bhp one).I have been offerred a part ex with my BMW for a Mk3 Golf VR6 highline (mulberry purple) 3door. It has 97k on the clock with full dealer service history + £1000.00 cash on top! <----- (its the 1 as my signature image)Even tho i do miss having a dub, im confused wetha or not i should go ahead with the deal. The judgement lies between the Power & the Comfort of the BMW. What would you do??Cheers

bungy 2
Bit of a funny question for a VR forum. Ask the same on a BMW forum and you'll get the opposite reply. You know in your heart you want it.........
H13VYY 0
it's the wrong forum to post the question to lol. Most answers will probably be biased. It depends on what your looking for. The VR as you should know will be alot more thirsty and won't look as 'pretty' as the BMW to most people. But if you miss the VR, and the above points ain't a problem, then go for it. If it's just power that your after, then a VR isn't all that powerful is it, unless you go F.I.
BADOIR 2
Dont want to be biased mate But i did have a 320 is and in all honesty i didd love that car , however it didnt hold a candle to the highline i have now... dont get me wrong the BM was everything id ever wanted in a car with comfort and power , but the shear sound and performance of my VR far outweighs the BM .............do it you know you want to lol.. CALICO 130
ask your self why you got rid of the rado and golf b4 then ask yourself what possesed you to buy a Beemer. you should be able to answer your own question lol
jimmyb 2
yeh id give um a grand and take the vr,lol
goonersteve 0
yeh id give um a grand and take the vr' date='lol[/quote']I think the £1000 would go his way, if i've read the post correctly.I would def go for this, seems like a good deal to me. Guess it also depends what you use your car for? If you do alot of commuting miles in it and sitting in rush hour traffic etc. then I would say the Beemer is better suited. But otherwise, I would go for the VR, deffo!

zoobz 0
Yeh the deal would be for the guy to give ME a grand on top of the VR. I think ME giving a grand on top would be abit stupid larke! lol
zoobz 0
The main reason as to why i bort the BM was to get a nice decent car and then to STICK to it for the next 10 yrs without spending stupid amounts of money. Abit like having loadsa different girlfriends and enjoyin the fun n then finally gettin married (if you know what i mean) lol
zoobz 0
AND my BM is VERY nice :-)
AJmk2 2
Seems like your getting divorced to the BMW , with the vr you can also make all of the meets which is a good laugh and a lot of fun.

jabe 1
That looks like my brothers old vr. Mechanically well looked after. It's your decision mate, you'll only get biased views on here ! It's usually the test drive that sells a car. What did you think ? Jase
