Can you identify these parts (pics)

guys as you can see this thing is leaking, what part do i need to change?

If you have a moment, please tell me if these photo's indicate normal engine greasyness

I havnt smelt anything lol

and havnt lost any oil

this is the pipe near the main air intact pipe, normal?

ive never cleaned my engine bay.

ive been told my rocker cover gasket might have gone, ive also been told i might have a bit too much oil in the car, but my dipstick says otherwise , its perfect.

Thats the electric auxillery water pump in the top 2 pics.

Second pictures, on pic No.2 check that small breather pipe as they are prone to splitting and seeping small amounts of oil out.

looks as though its leaking from the auxiliary water pump in exactly the same way mine did (it then blew itself apart on the 'ring)

that level on muskiness is normal...but its does look fresh. may be leaking out the cam cover, or top chain cover on the first pic, and often that little hose goes on obd2's (second pic)

as has been said check the breather pipe from the cam cover to the air intake for splits... might be that it was overfilled and has leaked... maybe clean it up and see if it gunks up again?

okay so should i replace the aux water pump or just the seal?

can i use wd40 to displace the gunk? or should i use water?

i have no idea how to get down in those small areas...

you have to replace the whole pump, and be careful with the rubber holders as these are liable to tear.

Gunk cleaner or any degreaser will get it all off

can you tell me any brands of gunk cleaner or degreaser and please could someone tell me the part number for a new aux pump (which i guess will include the seal).

GUNK is the name of the gunk cleaner I use. :-)

the part number for the aux water pump is:

W251 965 561 B £55.42

if you want a couple of the rubber mounts the number is:

W035 959 209 E £2.47 each

the prices are before VAT

a damp microfibre cloth should get that oil off

thanx guys, im just about to order the new aux water pump and a new pulley tensioner....hopefully the new aux water pump doesnt leak...u sure its not an o ring that needs replacing?

replace it? so we are in agreement, the seal between the pipework and the aux water pump is a part that is attached to the aux water pump, which is why i need to replace the whole hting,.

yeah, i think you'll find if you pull it apart that there is some cracks or broken off bits where the join is.

thanks, i phrased the question wrong lol, ill have to disconnect it all and inspect it, do you think it would influence loss of power??

anything in particular i should be alert about when removing the air intake pipe?
