dru 0
ive been thinking for a while what todo with the suspension but never really been a fan of lowering car sas its used as afamily run about to, so ive started thinking of lowering just the front as mine seems to sit quite low at the back anyway (2inches abover the tyre) but the front seems alot higher (4.5inches above tyre) not sure if this is just the arch designn tho. how much will this effect handleing? was thinking 35 - 40 mm to bring it down abit, a friend did it on a gti and sorted his handleing out a treat but im guessing there not as front heavy as the vrcheers dru

MarksMintness 0
Hi guys I am in the same boat as you can see from my pics, my VR is standard - very high at the front but the back is fine. I'm not into the slammed look but I would like to sort out the front for looks! Are lowering caps for the front the way forward?
MarksMintness 0
Hi guys, just had a look at Venom and these caps only lower the front by like 10mm and our cars look like they are on stilts! Had a look and I think for us some JOM springs would do the trick lowering by 50mm at the front and 25mm at the back - £73.55 a set!Seems like a good compromise.Cheers

dru 0
so back to my first post if i was just to drop the front using springs only 40 mm how would this affect the handling???
Jamesr_VR6 0
front end grip and handling would be good, but if you drove it hard i reckon you whould end up cocking a rear wheel in the air during high speed bends
McPikie 3
front end grip and handling would be good' date=' but if you drove it hard i reckon you whould end up cocking a rear wheel in the air during high speed bends[/quote']You would only cock a wheel if the back was suitabley low too thoughIt will handle better, but not as good as if it was level. Simple really,. Will be unstable at the rear.
gavinvr6 0
i can answer this with 100% knowledge since i actually have my car on coil overs at the front set at about -80mm and standard rear suspension.firstly the front end will tighten up a treat and it will improve turn in quite nicely.secondly the rear end then becomes to soft in relation to the front and it makes it a little lively under hard cornering.thirdly hard accelerating will promote rear end squat if you do not stiffen the rear to match. this is not wanted in a fwd car as it causes the front to go light and it will start spinning easier.forthly and the most important of them all is having the car nose down looks schweeet
