hey all ive been toying with the idea of buying another vr6 to use as a donor to a mk4 polo which is in ma garage with a bad boy bonnet and am in the process of havin resprayed in grey with smothed boot and de handled all the bumpers are gna be smothed not sure on alloys yet also its a five door but has anyone done a vr6 into one before and how much work do think it would be would the engine bolt in or is it gna be custom engine mounts

any ideas welcome cheers dj

i asked the same question recently was a long thread, just search for polo vr6. also there is a guy on the south coast who does the conversion by widening the front chassis rails, but it can also be done by shortening the vr6 front cross member, and the lupo was a twin engine r32, lithuanian fruitloop if i remember right. totally stock externally.

you can fit a vr6 into a polo mk4.. i was going to do it as i used to have a polo, but thought it might just be easier to but a vr6..

there was a chap on the polo owners club that did it, but I can't find nothing yet. He did have to have complete custom mounts etc and cut a huge hole in chassis and subfame and re-weld it back up.

I've seen a few in the old Ibiza's too, which as far I am aware are the same as the polo's, I think they have same chassis just re-bodied. I know the whole dash is the same..
