kcw 1
There was a gold one for sale on scottishvag about 6 months ago, had good spec list, was used as a knockhill track / 1/4 mile car I think.
gavinvr6 0
i asked the same question recently was a long thread, just search for polo vr6. also there is a guy on the south coast who does the conversion by widening the front chassis rails, but it can also be done by shortening the vr6 front cross member, and the lupo was a twin engine r32, lithuanian fruitloop if i remember right. totally stock externally. GraLaw 0
That's a quick Lupo!! I bet when your inside everything outside looks like Tron
russj249 2
you can fit a vr6 into a polo mk4.. i was going to do it as i used to have a polo, but thought it might just be easier to but a vr6..there was a chap on the polo owners club that did it, but I can't find nothing yet. He did have to have complete custom mounts etc and cut a huge hole in chassis and subfame and re-weld it back up.I've seen a few in the old Ibiza's too, which as far I am aware are the same as the polo's, I think they have same chassis just re-bodied. I know the whole dash is the same..
djmorgz 0
wow that lupo sounds unbelivable mmmmm i think its turning out to be a bigger job than i thought so going to have a look at the 1.8 turbo engine an see if thats easier to slide in
GraLaw 0
I've had a mk4 turbo and a mk3 vr6 and I would have thought the vr6 would be the easier option. The turbo has a lot more around the engine to give you problems. But both lumps are possible.
boostjunkie 0
IIRC the vr6 in the polo will mean a very very low sump, I can remember a vr6 mk3 polo and he had to have a large sump guard
CALICO 130
1.8 turbo is easier the block is basically the same as the mk1 gti but youd have to have aftermarket injection system. The vr6 dosnt fit into the mk1 without mods to the chassis rails hope this helps
