that was it for saturday then sunday used my van to load everything to take it to the car was going to trailor my car to the engine but didnt bother in the end

had to jump start it the battery was flat and as the eexhaust isnt connected yet sounds rough lol

got a few bits left to do

make the 6 branch fit the de cat

put some more oil in

put anti freeze and water in

get some jubilies for the water hoses

make my bracket up for the rad

and get tyres

i think thats it lol

i beat you yay well it starts just got a couple of bits to sort

power steering box came from patrick when he originally did my conversion so ask sparkz but i think it is better to have it above the pump so the mk3 1 is cool

loom was a mad moment lol but its different so its cool

whats my prize for winning :-)

well after nearly blowing the engine up last night thanks to vw giving me the wrong oil (they are getting a nasty phone call this morning as that ws a waste of 60 quid and i want free oil and filter off them) it runs. Had to do an oil change at miidnight in the dark but the noise from the wrong oil sounded awful it was too thin adn when it was changed it dissapeared and i took it for a drive. Drives smooth pretty happy.

and thanks to ben who custom make me an adaptor for my 6 branch to fit it works awsome.

am doing another oil change tonight to make sure all the wrong oil is out then gong for a drive in it to drumming practise

well its all fixd now done 35 miles in it and 3 oil changes seems to be running sweet just boring driving slow lol i'll get some pics of my exhaust custom bracket and rad bracket up soon

mk2vr6 is down think its a server prob again :-(

build looks really nice. cant beat a pretty VR6!

had the oil issue myself last week. changed the sump and got some 10w40 from ECP. it thinned out and started to sound like a bearing was going. chnaged it for some synta 10w40 and much better. old stuff looked like guiness when it came out

right wondering if any of you can help - Anna has a slight problem with the car, at around 4000 revs under heavy acceleration the car is holding back a bit, it seems to struggle for power but only around at around this rev range. It pulls well and normally at lower revs ??

Any ideas ??? :)
