hi guy after a bit of advice. the koni dampers on the front need changing. do you know anywhere i could get just 2, or should i change them all. the guy at the garage that fitted them in 94 says for 50 quid he'll dig out the paperwork and get the model numbers and stuff. but i don't know whether it matters if the front are new and rears old? thanks

I'm in a similar position, though mine were damaged when I hit a pot hole and they're just over a year old.

I was gonna replace them but found out there's a 3 year warranty on Koni's so thought I'd ask supplier how I stood. Here's his reply:-

"Hello there

Sorry to hear about the dampers. The normal warranty process is, if the dampers are less than a month old they are replaced. After that time new dampers have to be purchased and, the cost of carriage, fitting and parts are chargeable to the customer whilst the warranty process takes place. The warranty parts are then sent to the supplier for testing, and after we receive the manufacturers report it can then be decided whether or not a refund is applicable. As these parts are now over a year old, we would have to follow the warranty process as explained."

If yours are 10 years old it looks like you won't be able to claim, but I'd certainly be interested to hear how you get on.
