i've just had a wing repaired at the body shop, and they have done a good job with the colour match and blending it in with rest of the car. the only thing is that they have left the other parts of the car body feeling grity. i think it might be rubbing compound spread over.i tried washing it last night in the dark !alien but it hasn't made much difference.

do you think i could t-cut or will i have to get the whole car rubbed down with some more compound and if so can i do this my self :(

a clay bar is exactly what is sounds like... its a pliable blob of clay stuff which when rubbed lightly over the paint (using a lubricant) removes contaminants... I've got a meguiars one and its good stuff.

G3 is a type of rubbing compound used to flatten paint... bodyshops will use it with a mop but you can use it by hand. Its fairly coarse and is best used sparingly and followed with a finer polish (G10 or autoglym) & wax
