cliveyp 0
I'm wanting to change my wheels. Probably won't be until the other side of Christmas, but i like to plan ahead! I was thinking of something along the idea of Porsche Cup style or something like that, but i'm undecided between 16's and 17's....... Anyone have any opinions or thoughts that might help me?Cheers! six appeal 53
17's for looks and filling the arches (or wide 16's), but 16's as an all round good compromise, between looks, handling and acceleration. In my opinion anyway!
mk3anni 0
I'd say 16's after having them on the anni, but i just bought some 17's!!!
Nerih 0
Posing with 17's is easier. 17's dont help with - 'wake up in morning look at car salivation' problems.I really wanted to get porche alloys, but quite a few people have them already. Try to go for something not every person has got (for that unique look).-edit - although there are a lot of different style porka alloys, most of the old ones have already been 'featured'. New ones are a bit too modern for my mk3 i think.[ Edited Tue Sep 28 2004, 02:18PM ]
tandino 1
16's for driveabilty - 17's for posing 8o) ,I can really chuck the car round on the 16's and i reckon they do give an edge on straight line accelration due to lower rotating mass (in most cases) and slightly lower gearing. Also you are less likely to get wheel rubbing issues even with the car lowered. Also 17's 'are so last year darling' - all the chav's have them so thats one more thing to think about :! ...Pete. binliner 0
LMAO chavs have 17s on Novas, Corsas or anything that theyre far too big for... if they had a VR theyd be trying to squeeze 19s under those arches (do Fox make 19s??)
