Phat VR6 3
Looks nice for around £2500 dont it, I think ontop all you would want an LSD and ARP head and rod bolts and oil cooler. About it realy isnt it???

UnitedMotorsport 55
Yeah, doesnt fit on a RHD car.
Phat VR6 3
Oh, Can you just change the mainfold or would other items need changing too?
UnitedMotorsport 55
when you change the manifold, other things will change because of turbo orientation, ie down pipe and boost pipes.
FishWick 21
They love the Kinetic setup in the US. It's about time somebody in the UK developed a proper kit for RHD cars.

MaidenVR6 26
Well, I really like my Kinetic kit. Its pretty bolt on, with no mods needed. But my personal opinion, is that since june 2006 when Mr.Artwood came out with his latest software upgrade, there is no complete/all include VR6 Turbo kit that I know about that can match the Kinetic. And 50% off all "Kinetic" honour goes to C2 Motorsports. Just because they make so good software, that "anybody" can use. Plug and play is what Mr.Collier told me, and I really must agree on that. Its been plug and play ever since we started fitting this kit, and I have had not ONE singel issue ever since.Apart for a blown gearbox

e12_mat 0
Just been looking at the kits and peoples oppions on vortex and not come across anybody who has not liked the c2 software.Any ideas on when the kit will be ready?
FishWick 21
That's because a lot of people have gone from a stock VR6 to a turboed one and gone straight to C2 software without trying anything else first ;-)I regularly hear of over fuelling problems and the Bosch 440 green tops are well known to be a poor choice of injector. It's good enough for most people though and is ideal if you don't want the hassles of a Standalone. If I was going for a Motronic remap, I'd personally get a custom map done on the dyno. You only have to have the intermediate shaft off a few degrees and it throws the sequential timing and therefore the fuel maps. You'll end up running 440s harder than you should at low rpms and run out of fuel on boost.Pays to make sure the entire install is 100% tip top before beginning mapping or using a chip. UnitedMotorsport 55
As someone mentioned above, the setup needs to be 100% correct. No air leaks, all sensors working correctly etc, but this goes for any setup. When you have air leaks, how can you expect the engine to run correctly in any situation, not just with a tirbo?Reported running rich conditions are caused by an air leak. The green top 440's are not a problem on our software, This dyno chart is representing measurements from the WHEELS
VR6Pete 1,455
all this talk of turbos....hmmm
FishWick 21
This dyno chart is representing measurements from the WHEELSNice midrange, but you're losing 100lb/ft torque from 5000 to 6800rpm. What is the engine spec? That chart is useless without this information.

That chart is useless without this information. [/quote']The engine is a standard 2.8 12v engine, with a C2 head spacer. The drop in high RPM torque is due to the small turbine housing used, a 0.58A/R T4
FishWick 21
0.58 will do that for sure. Depends where you want your boost though I guess. I like mine to start at 3500rpm and keep going to 7K.
