i have several, some on my wrists and most of my back.

On the nape of my neck i have a gao yord and across my ribcage a yan suea koo. These are buddhist prayer inscriptions, exactly like this but not the 2 right up on the shoulders and on my top one i didnt want the writing underneath gao-yord-3.jpg

That's not my back just a pic I found of someone that happens to have the same as me

Gao yord means 9 spires, and is said to bring luck and fortune to the wearer, each spire representing one of the 9 sacred peaks of mount meru in buddhism with buddha sitting on top of every peak, which is basically like heaven to christians, its made up of all the planets and stars, its not a real place that exists.

Yan suea koo is said to give the wearer the spirit of the tiger. Fearless, powerful, determined

Then under my ribcage on my back i have a willow pattern style dragon and phoenix.

The dragon and phoenix are for their philosopy and what they represent, boldness, headstrong, integrity, courage, strength, the ability to be strong, do anything and everything despite any setbacks.

And be it all in my head or be it the divine powers, through challenging situations if i think about what these tattoos mean and the process of having them done, and maybe the fact that i have them and know what they mean gives me the encouragement to will myself to live up to their meanings, it does give me the will to see things through and the strength to carry on.

Everyone said it hurts like frig on your spine but i found the further out from my spine the more painful it got
