they aint that light they 1200 ish kg the vr is 1155 lol im guessing at the psi but they were pretty low i can only guess the reason theyr so damn quick is the tranny layout ie mid engien rwd it gives fantastic traction when setup right with nowhere near the tranny loss of 4wd but almost the same traction

If they are going on about reliablity someone bring up the VW Pheaton, the design brief was so impossibel half the design team resigned, like, it must be able to travel at 200mph for 24 hrs non-stop and the cabin temp should stay at a constant 18 degrees! What jap car could even come close

The comparisons they make are also retarded

this heavily tuned skyline would piss an s4! obviously you knob

And matey saying a civic with a few hundred quid spent on it would give a 911 a good run? WTF?

just euphamisms used by people all around the world mike.......anyhow how is that racist? its descriptive? an observation on the shape of someones eyes, it makes no reference to anyones religeon, race, colour, creed or beliefs, is calling a black person "black" racist as well now? racism is a joke...its got out of hand, do gooders turning every single possible comment or picture or inanimate objects and making it racist if it suits them, think you have misunderstood the meaning of racism mike

I dont see a problem with it, you just jumped to a conclusion did you not? i am a non prejudiced non descriminator, i dont favour any race, i would prefer it if you didnt make judgements on comments that infact contain a self reference to the apparant shape of european persons eyes as opposed to slanted ones from oriental people, how would you describe the shape then? dont imply im not allowed an opinion or make comment just because of the job i do, we will leave it at that i think, political correctness is is a word made up by politicians for politicians to use in their twisted ideoligy to NOT any body else!

far as i can tell... its your usual 'cruise' site. You'll maybe find one or two people on there that have some intelligence. Only person i can see on there that is spot on is Brycey.

Any car from any country can be reliable or not, its how you look after it.

Also one of the main issues is the people owe the cars.. obviously every car club has a nobber or two, but is it me or is jap a lot worse unless its the high end of the market?

Also as for as styling goes, i can not stand plastic fantastic cars. Big ol' wings etc.

All down to personal taste and preference, but you only have to look at the comments made by the people that own jap cars lol.

I must confess that I absolutely adore Jap cars and in general think that they totally outshine most German cars - particularly in smiles per mile & price bracket.

Engine-wise they last forever and (due to HK's proximity to Japan) parts are cheap and plentiful.

However, what sets German cars apart from Japs is the build quality, the Krauts build solid lasting cars that I'd much prefer to be behind the wheel of in any sort of crash / accident - a fact that the insurance company's here acknowlage (a friends Audi S4 is cheaper to insure fully comp than his NA Toyota Supra 3rd party only) Obviously because of these safety measures and lasting build quality German cars naturally are heavier, thirsty and relitively more expensive to repair.

But I think that it is sad to compare the two, if we take the 'worst cars' that are mentioned in that thread all I see is that the Beetle is one of the most iconic and instantly recognisable cars in the world, whereas the Honda Jazz is the most spacious and wonderully designed small cars on the market, both deserve equal respect in my opinion :)

If you really want to compare German cars with Japanese cars, I'd suggest looking at formula 1, and at this very moment though German powerd cars are doing slightly better than their Japanese counterparts, both are being totally p4wned by the Italians :D
