NetStable 0
Hi allAs the title suggests, have recently fitted some black diamond brake pads but they didn't have a wear sensor attached, will this be a problem when it comes to M.O.T. time? Many Thanks- Ben
thegoth 5
Dunno, but it shouldn't be too hard to fool the system into thinking everyhting is hunky dory.Use a multi-meter to measure the resistance of the wear sensor in your old pads ( possibly ~zero ) and use a suitable resitor, or wire, to bridge the connectors on the plug.Probably a good idea anyway so as not to mask any other problems the brake warning light is used for, ie fluid level. matth76 1
I wasn't aware that the OBD2 or OBD1 vr had brake sensors alerting drivers when their brake pads are in need of changing. Although my brake pads have so far lasted since I bought the car nearly 2 years!
