BF Goodrich G-Force Profilers ...I'm thinking about these next. 5 out of 6 rally teams choose this brand and its very successful, but often overlooked when people select tyres for their road car. Similar price as Toyo's, Goodyear etc. Everyone I've heard who has used them says very good things about them. Worth looking at.

I have used Goodyear F1's but they were very good to start with but absolutely useless (and scary) in the wet when only 2/3 worn. Plus they only lasted about 6 months.

I got some Toyo Proxes on the front in Nov 2005 and in Nov 2006 they had to go on the back due to excessive wear (and I mean nearly bald) on the shoulders (but not the centre). They were at the correct pressure (tested weekly), not been wheel spun, and only covered about 7000 miles, so won't be getting them again.

I'd always used Michelin before and find them to have much better grip and last alot longer, so will soon be getting some of them.

You get what you pay for I suppose!

So far i have found Michelin Pilot Exalto 2's to be the best tyre all round. Fantastic Grip in wet or dry and last very well too, i had them on my last car and i rate them very highly indeed as do friends who i have recommended them too.
