Help NEEDED!

Recommended Posts

Since about september ive been think of selling the VR and investing in Raddo VR or mk2 VR. But recently ive seen some very nice looking mk3's (mainly on this site) and now im not sure wot to do?

Ive got 3 options really

1. sell mine and buy a Raddo for similar money

2. sell mine and use money to build a mk2 VR

3. keep mine and swap all the bits i dont like (alloys, rear spoiler etc....)for stuff i do like

really cant decide! ideally i want a proper project car and funds are a bit tight, so doin anything major to mine is unrealistic at the moment. ive got a few a ppl comin to look at my car in next few days so if i get offered the right price ill prob let her go (im not gonna sell her for peanuts)

only trouble with "project" cars like a mk2 vr6 is do they ever get finished? ideal if you can afford to build gradually and have a daily driver but trying to do it on a budget is a killer, whatever price you think it will cost? double it! same with restorations, always hidden costs and extras that need doing, keep yours and get a decent mk2 as a base and do it over time, when you get to the major parts like engine etc you can sell your motor on then to fund the rest to get it up and running on the road, thats what i would do anyway

Thats prob what ill do, im in the fortunate position of havin a daily driver (Rover 218TD lol) and a bro with a garage/bodyshop, so a "project" takin time isnt really an issue, its just the FUNDS!
