purple highline monster 0
they are all oe spec, mostly made by the same companys vw use, just without the VW dealer "tax" for stocking old car parts!
jpc 0
so basaically they are the same or at least made to the same spec? The plugs must differ somehow, maybe the mileage or something?
stuey 0
I believe Beru are part of Bosch, they had Beru stuff in the display cabinets at the Bosch head office.
purple highline monster 0
personally i have genuine vw plugs partly coz i like the genuine stuff and mostly as i get it cheap! as long as the plugs are the correct type ie heat range and platinum then they would be fine, a vw set are around £70 for a set or more
jpc 0
yeah I don't think these ones are platinum, maybe should stay clear and go for VW ones (6.75ea) or NGK (5.50ea)
richievr 1
get the ngk ones mate - BKR5EKUP - they are identical to the vw ones and are platinum the vw ones have this on one side and vw on the other side get them from a motor factors for about 1/2 the vw price!! dellert 0
Got some BERU plugs and Leads and Coil Pack, and theya are all OK. Mine is over 150k so what ever I do it aint gonna be a perfect engine! Hence I keep costs down by buying non genuine parts, although whenever the costs are similar I will buy genuine. The Beru plugs are actually quite good, they are of the 4 electrode type rather than the twin type that most are. I cant fault them, as non genuine parts go they are pretty good! andy 0
I've got Beru plugs in the Rado, soooo cheap and no problem whatsoever. I'd have them again.
jpc 0
I've heard they are better on the ob1 engines as they dont use platinum plugs, went for the Bosch coil pack and NGK plugs off Vdubgirl very good price £174 all in.I work at a Seat delaership quite a lot and get cost price parts (or near enough) and the cheapest the could do the coil pack was £145+vat and the plugs £6.79+vat ea.Crazy
