I got my engine sent to grant motorsport for rebuilding and reboring,in general i'm sure their quality of work is very good but I have to say i was far from impressed with their lack of meeting deadlines though, it all depends on if time is an issue for you, if its not i would send it there Link to post Share on other sites

gazbrook 0 Posted June 10, 2004 Report Share Posted June 10, 2004 well this is a rough price but for a rebuild and rebore from 2.8 to 3 litre it was £3500 including a new clutch(worthwhile doing when the engine is out) , this is bearing in mind i had new and bigger pistons which you wouldn't need if you were staying a 2.8, pistons cost about £100 each , then the extra boring work etc too , i would guess maybe £2000 for a 2.8 rebuild keeping the old pistons and no boring work(but it is a guess!!!!) There supposed to have a good reputation. They post you the engine(!), then when its fitted you post your old one back and get your deposit back. Link to post Share on other sites
