  1. Hey Folks, Please help me diagnose what the noise in my R32 MK4 is! The high pitch whine/ noise in the video (below) occurs when I take my foot off the accelerator (usually happens when I'm in 3rd or higher) and coast. Doesn't always happen and seems to occur once I've been driving around for 5-10mins+. This may not be accurate but it seems to occur between 20 and 30,000 RPM and sounds like it's originating from the passenger/nearside of the car though I'm not 100%. I've taken it to VW and they reckon it's a vacuum leak from the engine, however,

  9. I'm currently in the process of upgrading the front brakes on my V6 4Motion to 344mm R32 brakes. To do this, I need a new set of discs. My local motor factors are coming back with silly prices for front discs. I have done a quick ebay search and can get cross-drilled and grooved discs (Mtech or similar) for a fraction of the price of the factors. Is this because the local factors are trying to rip me off, or the 'upgrade' discs on ebay are shonky quality? Does anybody have any experience regarding ebay brake discs? The car is mainly used for spirited road driving, and track days. A
  10. Hi Guys Earlier this month my dad and I attended a car show in Cape Town , and i thought i'd like to share a few photos with you guys. The green 2-door belongs to my best friend and it was imported from the UK down to Cape Town , so it was quite a show stopper as we hardly get to see a 2-door VR6 this side of the world. The R32 belongs to my dad, and i couldn't help but follow in his example and I became the owner of the Monza Red VR6 a year later, what a dream come true.
