  1. Hey Folks, Please help me diagnose what the noise in my R32 MK4 is! The high pitch whine/ noise in the video (below) occurs when I take my foot off the accelerator (usually happens when I'm in 3rd or higher) and coast. Doesn't always happen and seems to occur once I've been driving around for 5-10mins+. This may not be accurate but it seems to occur between 20 and 30,000 RPM and sounds like it's originating from the passenger/nearside of the car though I'm not 100%. I've taken it to VW and they reckon it's a vacuum leak from the engine, however, the guys I bought it from have pressure tested and not found any leak. They think it might be related to the EBC Redstuff brake pads. Anyone had a similar issue?
  2. £8500 Located in Shepherd's Bush, London Mk2 Golf GTi with Audi V6 BHE (R32) conversion Registered as a 3.2 on the V5 MOT 11 May 2019 Engine All Engine parts clean and prepped before install. Audi BHE 3.2 with Blue Silicone hose set. Corrado VR6 front subframe. Solid front engine mount. Emerald K6 ECU with custom map for the car running about 280bhp. Custom loom built and fitted along with ECU. Hydro dipped inlet manifold. Corrado VR6 Radiator and slim fans. Custom exhaust manifold, and full stainless Custom 2 tip box 2.5 inch exhaust System from style dynamics. Transmission Reconditioned VR6 Gearbox and new clutch, good for about 160MPH. Corrado Hydraulic Pedal box. Breaks Corrado VR6 Break disks and calipers front & rear. Interior Mk3 Golf Dash & clocks. Boss steering wheel. Rainbow interior. Pioneer Head unit, Sub and Amp all installed professionally. Dash Cam also hard wired and installed at same time as stereo. Exterior Rallye front end with HIDs from the Audi. Adjustable coilovers. Lenso Eagle 2 wheels, 7.5 Front & 8.5 Rear. All the conversion work was done by Darren Francis at vwenterprise.co.uk http://www.vwenterprise.co.uk/portfolio/hans-mk2-r32/ http://www.vwenterprise.co.uk/portfolio/hans-dash/ Since I have owned it I have had it serviced and had to replace: 1 rear caliper. Clutch Master Cylinder. Drivers side electric window actuator. Paint is in very good condition. It had a few spots underneath welded and protected at the time of the conversion so there's no body rust. Tires are all very good with loads of tread left. Heater matrix all hooked up & working for the new dash. All dash dials work. Interior in good condition, no rips or tears. Original books and first aid kit. 3 books of receipts. Bad bits: If you don't drive it for over 2 weeks the battery will discharge so much that you'll need to jump it. I get around this by leaving it plugged into a battery conditioner when it's in the garage. The odometer doesn't record the distance traveled due to the conversion. 8. Hi Guys, Just browsing the net for a new ride! getting bored of my 3rd diesel in a row after owning GTI & VR's. Skoda Superb Elegance (+L&K) DSG is great but just got the Mrs a 61 reg Touran 1.6 DSG... So I no longer need a diesel. Looking to P/X or sell and get a V6... Its either bk to old skool with a Mk2 Vr6 or Mk3 Vr6 or go for a mk4/5 R32... ( budget is around 5k, dont wanna spend every penny i have on a car. I have a small family and business to run which are getting bigger) I dont wanna splash out on this new car or be taking it to the garage every 3 months for repairs... So, please advise guys, some of you are on your 3rd VR6..... and im not sure which one will keep me happy and nobody is going to let me test drive all 3 and then say no. P.s. I have a beautiful Rado VR6 (65k) in blackberry in my garage which is for the sunny days only. So I cant use that. I need a good solid car that will get me to work and back which is 20 miles a day round trip.
  9. Hi Guys Earlier this month my dad and I attended a car show in Cape Town , and i thought i'd like to share a few photos with you guys. The green 2-door belongs to my best friend and it was imported from the UK down to Cape Town , so it was quite a show stopper as we hardly get to see a 2-door VR6 this side of the world. The R32 belongs to my dad, and i couldn't help but follow in his example and I became the owner of the Monza Red VR6 a year later, what a dream come true.
  10. I'm currently in the process of upgrading the front brakes on my V6 4Motion to 344mm R32 brakes. To do this, I need a new set of discs. My local motor factors are coming back with silly prices for front discs. I have done a quick ebay search and can get cross-drilled and grooved discs (Mtech or similar) for a fraction of the price of the factors. Is this because the local factors are trying to rip me off, or the 'upgrade' discs on ebay are shonky quality? Does anybody have any experience regarding ebay brake discs? The car is mainly used for spirited road driving, and track days. Any help or advice greatly appreciated thanks.
