  2. Turns out my intermediate sprocket bolt backed out so my upper chain isnt being spun. Trans is coming off and its getting retimed and and hoping for the best here. Gonna locktite thr damn bolt a little this time lol
  3. Swap ur fuel pump. I was having issues with mine not priming. Id smack it and it would prime and fire right up. Swapped the pump for a used one i got for cheap and no isses since
  4. Im having the same issue...keep getting a lean code p1156. Everyone keeps saying i have an air leak somewhere but i can not find it for the life of me. Been looking for weeks.

  6. Thats going to be my next step. Idk what else to do to be honest. Runs smooth as hell im thinking its leaning on idle or very light throttle
  7. I went with autotech valve springs to compliment my techtonics 276 cams. I took it to redline a fee times since and it loves it! I keep getting a p1136 lean code and cant figure out why. Only thing i havnt replaced was my 02 sensor cause it has to be working still. The car runs great i dont know what to do now. Swapped out a 4bar fpr. Changed the coolant temp sensor also. Tried to get a tune and aptuning said its the same file i have already they dont change the file for cams cause my maf and 02 should regulate my air fuel ratios
  8. Coolant temp sensor and oil pressure sensor went in the same week wtf mk4 problems!
  9. Its a 2.8 12v from a 2001 gti engine code afp.
  10. Found an engine 20 min from my house for $150. Got it cleaned painted parts swapped, back in the car. Tune in a few days. It has a brand new 2.5 inch cat back stainless. Whats the update on your car@baker378
  11. motor is in and shes alive boys! Saturday im driving over to aptuning and shes gonna get a flash for the cams. Gonna be awesome cant wait
  12. blocks cleaned up and painted. And also back in the car. I ordered a fel pro head gasket and a set of fel pro head bolts and the bolts were wrong. I assume i by luck of draw got a mess up, but its just my luck i end up with the bad bolts. Heres a pic of the weird bolt next to one of my old, correct spec, bolt. And a close up of the head of the wrong bolt. Its a total different style
  13. Start was a fail. Knock didnt go away at all. It actually got very worse. Ended up getting a motor from a part out. Took me 4.5 hours to get the motor stripped down, to get my motor stripped down, and block removed from car. Now im working on cleaning the head and block prepping them both for all my good parts. Will update when i get another chunk done

  15. got a new bearing in and new bolts and shes got the pan back on and ready to get oil tomorrow and try starting it

  17. Hell ya cant wait to see them finished and installed. I should have my vr6 back sunday gonna put the new bearing in saturday and gotta wait for the rtv to dry before throwing oil in it

  19. UPDATE~ got it back together and its still knocking around. Took the pan off and pulled the piston cap to find a spun bearing so new bearing and once again wishing for the best here.
  20. Got some retainers....put the last one in and got the timing cover on. Then snapped a damn bolt on the cam cover. Grrrrrrr[emoji34][emoji34][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35] found a new bolt now just need to get it after work and pray i dont break anymore
