How bad was the bit of rust on the door? Are the sills ok on it? Its a nice motor you have there mate, i like the wheels on it, they really suit the car..im the same im getting all the crappy jobs out the way, got the sills to sort out and a few little niggles but il get there.

I was recommended off the bodyshop i use who taught him, so im guessing his work will be spot on! Pay cheap pay twice..but if it isnt a good job then he wont be getting paid anyways [emoji4] i only thought it was expensive because im providing the sills and he doesnt have to make his own

He said it will take about 4days of constant work on it..which is an understandable price if you look at it that way

Just got back from the bodyshop. Been quoted £300 a side to repair the sills. The work will consist of cutting out most of the sill up to the plastic kick plate and putting in the new sills that ive got from oeandmore. He went in depth and told me what he was going to do, sounded like a top job that probably was a little OTT but i like that kind..hes going to paint it afterwards, treat the fresh sill, pull up the carpets and get at it from inside aswel and treat it and repair if needed. He guaranteed that it will not even look like its been repaired..he explained that he couldnt just put the s

So yesterday i paid for a short shifter of besters aswel, just waiting on the delivery.. cant wait to give it a full detail as its not been cleaned since i bought it 2 weeks ago and it was dirty when i picked it up

Not sure how much the cage is worth so il look into it, cant remember the make of it off the top of my head, but the whole cage thing isnt my cup of tea...im more of a suble guy when it come to modifications. When is the next show?

Ye il be at a few shows..im one of them people though who wants their car to be mint before people see it, so i can see me never showing it haha. No its in good condition really just the usual mk3 sills/rust. But will be sorted this week [emoji38]

When you say blast a tin of it behind them, do you mean behind the wings or the sills? Were on the car would you put it as iv never used it before

As a few of you may know i bought my first vr6 last week off a member on here. Got the car home a the sills were alot worse than i thought and it was knocking from both sides. I jacked the car up and spotted a snapped coilspring on the front drivers side, the passenger side is also knocking like fcuk aswel! So iv ordered a new set of coilovers and febi top mounts from oeandmore along with 2 new full sills. The sills are rotted through at the jacking points but the rest is fine, so its booked in the bodyshop next week when the new sills arrive to fix the problem and ive asked him to have a more

Il get the carpet up later and have a look, iv ordered new patternd sills and im calling back to a recommended body on moday when they arive for a price. Hopefully its not too much. The inner wings look fine but they arnt genuine ones as the inside of the wing isnt painted, so il do that myself as it doesnt need to be a mint job as you can see it but it will be a decent job, the wing isnt aligned proper aswel as the gap is way to small were the door is slighly catching it when opened and is causing paint to come away...il get there in the end!

The hole is on the front passenger. Im guessing the drivers is the same. Im on my way to a bodyshop now to see what they say [emoji120]

Just ordered 2 new sills from oeandmore. Id say the sills need replacing about a 3rd of the way up from the front on both sides, is it worth cutting the whole lot out and replacing it all? Or just the section thats fcuked? Also just ordered some coilovers and polybusshed top mounts as i have a snapped coilspring and its knocking like mad! So thought id change the top mounts aswel

Iv just bought this highline last weekend and he said the sills needed attention in the near future but fk me! How bad is this really? And the big hole that looks like its going further underneath the car! Along with some other few problems aswel! For you bodyshop experts out there let me know if you can help if you are located in the manchester area to do the work..to say im pissed off is an understatment, guy had been on the rado forum for a while aswel so i thought it would be a solid (ish) car!

Knocking, grinding/rubbing noise from front

Took it to the garage and its a snapped coil spring! So a new set of coilovers now which im not happy about as i dont think you can buy just the spring and in not sure what coilovers are on it..then after that its sorting the front bit of the sills out, can you get anything to tighten up the gearbox? Like bushes? As its abit slack -
Cheers benny. Hope fully if it can be patch repaired then it wont need to go that far into the outer sill so it can be seen. Mainly all around the jacking points..from the middle of the front door backwards its solid and mint

Think they are £25 a side for a sills from oeandmore. But it doesnt need a full side, only were the fron jacking points are as the are like biscuits [emoji17] thing is though is that the sills are kind of a rippled/texured finish and if i get new metal welded in then it wont look the same...if you get what i mean?
