  1. I'm proper jelaus guys! Worthersee is on my bucket list, but i'm affraid had to respray rado first and add a few bits and pieces... so not this year. Hope you take lots of good pictures!
  2. it was always dangerous in your own car yep the prices are higher and higher, but it's rather hard to expect the place will be cheaper and cheaper thought just motorbikers love spa.
  3. Just curious how many people’s planning to drive the lap (ore more ;-) )on the ring this year J What car you want to take and what date you’re going there? And is it your 1st, 2nd … time? I have booked the ring holidays in mid-May (hopefully will be nice and warm), going with my other half and our few good mates. I’m taking obviously my rado, Dave (aka Monkey) his mk2 20v plus two or three cars in the convoy with us. It’s my third time - managed to drove my previous rado 16v and bora 1.8t over there. It’s such a massive fun.
  4. that's exactly what i've been told over the phone. the colour choice was between black and black but managed to get the red ones from the local vag place. at least they should be red. anyhow will see on saturday morning
  5. thanks for advices folks. genuine ht leads are beru ones right? any good webpage i can get them from? i google-d it up but all i can find is the black set of beru's...
  6. last sunday i've changed spark plugs for ngk-s (this simple job took me such a long time compare to a 10 min spark-plug change on my old 16v rado and yes i had a removal tool) i looked a bit closer to ht leads and deffo need a new set! my bad i should change plugs and leads straight after buying the car. here's a question: what ht leads are good, red and fit in the plastic gaps on the engine cover? checked bosch and beru and they come in black, magnecor has a red ones but they are 8.5mm (so rather won't fit the plastic cover) and a competition use only. please help!
  7. 186 is still 8.3 more then mine ;-) at least sorting out the inlet manifold temp sender fault doesn't cost the earth and you will gain easily more power and better idle. I will drag rado to Vince at one point of this year (definately before the may ring trip!) to sort out the ecu fault, but currently waiting for Dave to put his mk2 together and then we can make a mini convoy to stealth coze he wants remapped his beast
  8. yep that's us :-) have to warn you when you're surfing through our fb pictures it's a lot of taekwon-do (korean self defence martial art) stuff mixed with cars. what was your figures? well i guess i have to start somewhere with winning trophies
  9. tell the truth you want take the great, shiny trophy for the lowest bhp away from me. no way ;-P tbh i own my rado less than 5 months and it's less then 3 months on the road so still finding out things to sort out and after sunday i know a badly remapped ecu is one of them ;-) a blondi question: which mike you mean?
  10. you're right it was 177.7 ;-) at least I know with the ECU error (Vince from Stealth suggested it was badly remapped in the past! deffo not by the last owner) it will be quite easy and cheap fix :-) the fastest way ever to gain some bhp :-D I am sure I can pick the trophy up during one of meetings... in the worst case it has to wait for Inters.
  11. huge Thank you for organising the day and sorting out the weather, but can you order a bit more warmth the next time pls? ;-) what a fantastic day and a very rare oportunity to see so many rados vr6 in the same place - never realized dark blue is such a popular vag colour trophy?! what's for? if it's for the fastest cleaned up 5 minutes before the meeting (thanks god for a shell jet wash! ) then i should give it back to my other half
  12. haha looks like at least few of us needs a bucket full of money which can be happily spend at rado :-D see you tomorrow guys!
  13. I am deffo not going for show and shine. my poor rado needs a full respray first!
  14. every month i got at least a few people asking me if i want to sell my rado.. bare in mind it's far of a mint condition (lots to improve about the bodywork - actually to be fair needs a full respray) and bar the exhaust it's standard vr6. today had a guy who first offered me money to buy him now! and deeply disappointed when refused gave me a 10 minute lecture how wonderful rados are what kind of comments do you hear about your car(s) peeps? swear i need a sticker 'love my car and he's NOT FOR SELL'
  15. sounds like somwhere from the front of the engine bay VR6Pete. it isn't defo the oil pump coze had it checked a few days aqo and had a small upgrade on the spring coze it has been loose a bit. so the choice is between an annoying sticky lifter or a rod knock (hope not!) heard somwhere that every vr6 got a tapping noise when the engine has done over 100k?
  16. cheers vr6cabbs :-) just noticed a whole pinned topic about photobucket :-D looks like i realy need glasses! got today some spare time at night so will try to post some pictures.
  17. rado's got an annoying tapping noise when the car's hot, but it isn't consistant. one day i drive and everything's fine and the another one... tapping appears for a while just be again ok 2 hours later. yep i used 'search' option at forum but couldn't find anything more than advices to change the oil etc. but it has been done recently (last saturday) in a good vag garage. the noise disappeared for a week and come back just a bit quieter than before. bought him a few months ago. before i was able to put him on the road it took about 3 months and i know for sure an half of year before the car st
  18. thanks guys for a warm welcome. good idea with a thread daveyboy. definately will. rado got lots of bodywork to sort out' but that's why i had it with a bargin price :-) have to learn quickly how to link a piccie from photobucket here
  19. Can you add me to the rolling list please? I'm curious about my rado vr6 :-D and will be nice to meet a few new faces. might bring with me another car or two ;-)
  20. Hi all! used to be a fan of french cars, but a fair few years ago decided to go for something different and that's how I finished with a vdub :-) loved my first corrado 16v, but it was truly friday car! so when the cost of MOT was close to the value of the car had to break it. and a year later my dream come true and i have bought rado vr6 :-D
