Mk3highline reacted to VR6CABBS in Engine removal
When removing the the wires and hoses your probably best to label everything with a bit of tape or take photos.
Will be ten times easier to re-fit if everything's marked up.

Mk3highline reacted to Gwr corrado in Carbon Lorraine rc6 pads
I've been doing track days for quite a few years . Well over 20 tbh ( yes I'm an old git ) tried out rc6 pads on sat , and all I can say is awesome . Unbelievable stopping power through standard calipers on my Clio track slag . Strongly recommend these for track abuse

Mk3highline reacted to c00k in Radiator and intercooler
Something to bare in mind, is any intercooler and longer pipe work will decrease boost.
Why a lot of people keep supercharger piping short. And no intercooler, as you can drop about 3-4psi, sometimes 5psi from pipe work and intercooler setup. So if you only had a 6psi charger, and -5psi boost lost. It not hard to do the maths.
You can also get psi and boost loss from many other factors.
So it worth keeping in mind....
psi / boost lost
to
supercharger or turbocharger size and out put.

Mk3highline got a reaction from JayzVr in Mk3 v6-slo motion higher line lol
Decat fitted(thanks jayz vr) love the popping on over run not too sure about the little extra noise up to 4k and it still goes quiet after 4.5k rpm

Mk3highline reacted to al_mooring in Mk2 g60 to vr6t build
After a lot more sanding and primer I thought it was time for some colour so after running out of thinners and my gun packing up (which is now fixed) I managed to shoot a coat of colour onto the bay, still more standing to do after this but getting a lot closer
Also bought a FSM code 02m which is out of an Ibiza pd130 which I'll be using the final drives along with my DRP case and gear set

Mk3highline reacted to Bealieboy in Lumpy idle on the nothelle
New Pistons at circa £200 a set and labour the same! Just typical vr costs really!
To be fair tim'll only replace what needs replacing. It was only rebuilt 30k miles ago.

Mk3highline got a reaction from Bealieboy in Lumpy idle on the nothelle
The manifolds are probably port matched with the head maybe??
Plugs are ok it's oil I ment
But if the oil is too thin that Will make a difference
A full set of pistons etc can't be that much can they? Lol
Hopefully you get away with a hone and new rings

Mk3highline got a reaction from Bealieboy in Lumpy idle on the nothelle
Is there a point doing the full service if it will might be having a strip down?
I'm guessing they will do the leak down test first
Also has it got a standard manifold or a 6branch??
Cheers

Mk3highline reacted to Bealieboy in Lumpy idle on the nothelle
Its having a full service next visit and tim is going to go through all the vacuum hoses etc to make sure they're all ok, remove the lpg system which should never have been fitted and perform a leak down test. I'll also be praying to anyone that'll listen that the work done this visit will increase the compression on the cylinder that's been bore washing. Then probs the 3rd visit will be a strip down and rebuild of the engine as required!

Mk3highline got a reaction from D11PS in Mk3 v6-slo motion higher line lol
Had a wash,
need a good rub down and polish
Got this to use as a jig of a sort to get a 24v manifold made, hopefully I get it right as its a right fek about changing them over with the 24v as front end got to come off to get the inlet off
It's a supersprint copy but I think that the wall sections are a bit thin too the collectors are nasty
This is something I need to get

Mk3highline got a reaction from daveyboy in Radiator and intercooler
That's what I'm thinking and use the vents in the bumper and vents in the arch liners
Id like to keep pipe work to a minimum so will start with one with low boost and work up from there
The cost of this is creeping up quicker than expected and waiting couple months before I get the bracket delivered
