  1. Speed addiction? Amphets or going fast? Good old Clifford, mines a PITA most of the time, poxy thing! I think yours sounded better than mine on the day though Mistline, have you done a suitcase muffler delete on your exhaust? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Sounds interesting, I'd possibly be interested depending on condition, price etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. How do they compare in size to the standard seat? Much taller? Tombstones are quite tall but still look good. Bodge one onto a subframe and balance it in the car, it doesn't have to be permanent there and then. They certainly look comfy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I've had this before with an injector lead on my merc vito, broke down whilst on a fishing in France, that's when you realise how poor your language skills are! Had to call merc out and I have to say I was impressed, stripped down the top of the engine in a supermarket car park, changed plug and rebuilt the van and off I went. Only cost £180 with the labour....Bargain! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Have they already got the mk3 runners fitted? If not, if you google porsche tombstones it'll come up with various threads from ed.38 etc with some instructions....ish on how to fit. The main thing is having access to a welder and probably sourcing a another pair of runners so you don't trash the ones on the existing car seats. I do like a tombstone cabbs, what are these off? 6. My better half is as good as gold, but she still wouldn't understand me spending that magic £200 on the car! Best start snaffling some money away now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Cor, some people have all the luck! Well done for snapping it up! Any pictures? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. oh yeah, she'll go bananas when the golf goes to have bodywork sorted! Still fortunately these things only cost about £200! [emoji3]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. It must be the way you drive it ben, when your mate was driving it the other Saturday, it was flying! :-)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. With this poxy extension we're building my money is a bit tied up for the next couple of months, roll on getting it finished and getting some money back in my pocket to spend on the golf! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Yeah, thanks for not running ben, it would have been far too embarrassing for me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Yep, 450hp would be great but next year will be tidying the bodywork, get the sills done and new wings. It'll be all about the aesthetics next season! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. It was rather wet, mistline's electrics were not very happy but we still had the crack. Look forward to the next time a few of us can get together! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. So, just back from amd RR day and the result today after decat, bmc cda and new plugs since I last rolled....... 191.9hp and 187lbft. That's up by 13.4hp and 10lbft...... That's mental! Good to see mistline and Bennyk again today, hope you had a safe journey home mistline and co driver. I look forward to the next one, hopefully at stealth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. If you want to upgrade the air filter, I'd suggest staying away from an open cone type due to heat soak from the engine bay. You could modify the airbox and put in a performance panel filter in place of the paper filter or you could go for a bmc carbon dynamics airbox which is essentially a cone type filter inside a carbon fibre tube. I've just fitted one of these and I'm very pleased with it. Next stage after the air filter could be a performance exhaust. There will be other members that will give similar advice, have a look and see what they think and make your choice from there. Sent from

  17. It sounds like you've sourced a great engine! Good luck with the build. I often go to adinkerke, not far from you. If I take my vr6 golf mk3, I'll let you know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. Welcome to the club, I'm in Belgium every 6-8 weeks, what town are you from? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Well.....Unless you buy a pig! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I paid £1100 for my 77k mileage vr. Price is about the norm for an average unmodifed example. Check for rust in the usual mk3 places and that it doesn't make a metallic vibration from the engine at 1000-1500 rpm, that will be the timing chain. There's members on here that know a lot more than me about the vr and will give you some more pointers. You could check the buyers guide on the owners club so you're certain of what to look for. You'll not look back once you've bought one though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Oh right. Hope it's just the relay then! I'll still do a reset later today and see what happens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I don't think so, it's getting signal to pump, clutch doesn't engage and fan doesn't run, my thought this evening was to try the reset button on the controls. Hopefully it's something simple as the previous owner said it worked sometimes when he had the car, although we can all spin one when the needs arise! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. is that predictive version of peasant? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
