Well... So I'm a little further forward with these.. Had a spare half an hour and thought I would go out in the shed and see if I could work it out! Guess what I did!! Chuffed with them how they are now.. Stripped down, re painted, new seals and new Pistons along with new bleed nipples.. Just gonna clean up my discs and use the original pads on the front as they were pretty much new anyway and then replace the rears for new.. The sake of £25 I've got 4 completely refurbished calipers happy days

Yeah mate, I had them on my mk2 and I really did like them, genuine bbs are hideous amounts of money and at the moment I just don't have them funds.. To be honest there are others I quite like.. Here are a few that are ticking the boxes for me

Appreciate that input bud, I'm running on coilovers when I finally get them fitted!! So I should be able to adjust them so they don't rub.. I'm just gonna go 8.5j all round and with any luck I shouldn't get any issues.. I was talking to daveyboy and he says with them type of bbs reps he had to put spacers on the fronts to clear the calipers so that looks like I'm gonna have to buy some maybe 15mm..

I used to run 16" bbs reps, 7.5 front, et15 and 9.5 rear et25. The rears rubbed a fair bit just on eibach lowered springs.
Now I run 17" 9.5 front et? And 10.5 rear et?
Now I'm on dampening adjustable coilovers and occasionally the rears rub.

To be honest mate I was wanting to run 8.5j all round... Is the higher the et better? Or lower the number better? It boggles my mind et like.. Ha!
What size wheels etc are you running on the mk3 mate?

Guys I know we get discount from tps but I got a cracking deals on the bolts I've just purchased! I called TPS for the 2x strut bolts and nuts (strut to hub) for my corrado (golfs are the same) .. Also for the bolt and nut that goes through the rear leg bushe and into the chassis leg..
I ended up getting a price for roughly £3.55 per bolt and £2.40 per nut!!
Bearing in mind I needed 6 of each!!
£36 for 6 nuts and bolts!!
I looked online and then remembered there was a bolts and fasteners place opposite TPS Newcastle, gave them a call and he said to pop through with the original bolts and he would match them up or better them..
Ended up coming away with these beauties and guess what!! Total cost for everything £3!!!
They are better quality and stronger bolts with nylon nuts!! Just a little tip for anyone who may have snapped a few here and there and don't want to pay daft prices!! This place is amazing! Anyone wants the info or address let me know and I will post the address and phone number...

Can anyone give me a little guidance please on wheel fitment.. I've been looking and looking for the right wheels that I want to suit my raddo and come to the point where I have found the ones I want.. Can anyone give me guidance on clearance etc, I'm in the process of fitting coilovers so height isn't going to be an issue as I will set it at the height I want to fit correctly..
What et should I be looking at? I've found fitment guides that say between 25-35..
I'm wanting to go with a decent dish so at least 8/9j ..
Any input and info would be greatly appreciated..

As above, I was dubious about that amount of money on some pretty coloured poly/rubber under my car that I wont even see..

Now I wont be without them. Make a huge difference and give the old VRs a new car feel with tightness on the road.

Same with engine mounts, vibratech ones compared to standard is just ridiculous.. but all worth it for a keeper car..

In the process of stripping and rebuilding my front and rear calipers from my raddo vr6. Having a few issues finding the correct bleed nipples to replace the originals.. (Don't know the size and how to measure the originals)
Also does anyone else have any trick ways of getting the new seals in and also keeping them from getting into this state again? Will be uploading pictures as I go.. I have the calipers all currently off the car and have begun stripping them down.
Both Pistons were fairly worn and rusty on the fronts so I have ordered new repair kits £33 for the pair..
Any advice would be greatly appreciated of any encounters or troubles people have had in the past when doing this

Never had the need to strip mine back to basics, all I've ever done is pop the pistons out so far as to be able to give them a good clean using methylated spirits and very fine scotch brite on the pistons and then smear rubber grease round them and push them back in. I remember a few years ago now though having to replace the seals in the rear caliper on my GSXR 600 as it had seized up, thoroughly cleaned out the recess for the seals put in a light smear of rubber grease, and then carefully put the seals in, then light smear of rubber grease on the piston and  used a G clamp to carefully push it back in. I know its not quite the same on a car as you'll need access to a piston winder kit for the rears at least, or make your own out of an old socket..? Hope it helps. Well a little bit anyway.

Hey cheers man for the input, I've been looking into it and like you say it's probably worth it in the end by giving such a tighter ride and quality.. I think I may shop around and see what sorts of deals I can get further down the road once I have my corrado up and running..
