sam_vr6 got a reaction from VR6 Supercharged in POST A SINGLE PIC OF YOUR CAR
One of my favourites, taken at a local vw meet, my mate was using his fancy camera and the faint me's were accidental (thought it looked cool though). Also it's raindrops on the car not scratches/stonechips like a few folk have thought when they saw the pic on other forums!

The mk3 had a 2.8 vr6 12v and the mk4 had a 2.8 v6 24v. Technically the mk4 isn't a vr6 as the pistons are at 90 degree angles ie a v6. In the vr6 the pistons are at a 45 degree angle hence the name vr6 (VR stands for Vee Reihenmotor which pretty much translates to vertical inline.)

As said above the corrado had a 2.9 vr6 12v.

It also may be worth noting there are 2 variants of the vr6 engine. OBD1 and OBD2. All corrados and pre 95 mk3s are OBD1 and post 95 are OBD2. OBD2 is basically an upgrade, upgraded throttle body, abs and few other bits and pieces. Not too difficult to do the conversion though. See more on this thread: http://www.vr6oc.com/forum/topic/7902-is-my-vr6-an-obd1-or-obd2/

It's worth noting that the mk3 vr6 is fwd and the mk4 v6 is 4wd. 174bhp vs 201bhp as standard I think. Not difficult to get a vr6 over 200bhp though.

We have a new website feature and your help is needed to make it useful

It is an interactive map that allows you to pin your location to a map, this is particularly useful if:
You are organizing a local meet / event you wish to know if other members live closely Picking up parts? see how far a member lives in relation to you! New features will come that will allow us to plot custom drop pins I.E our national events so you can see how far they are from you.

At the moment, you need to manually add in your location - or use the geo-location button and it will attempt to determine your location automatically - We will add improvements that automatically adds your location to the map if you have one defined in your profile in the future.

Go check it out using the following link! It also works on mobiles too!

Likely because the badges that are on the cars are a branding rather than a description. To VW "VR6" is an engine from the early 90's, not a good marketing ploy to put that on the back of a brand new car 10 years later. On the flip side of that, the Audi TT is badged "Quattro", when it is infact a haldex 4wd system. Quattro is indeed an old name just like "VR6," but Quattro is the name of the very successful 4wd system that pretty much put Audi where they are today, so again a marketing ploy.

This is my vrt had it about 6 weeks so far the only thing I've is have a new exhaust fitted because it was way too loud.
Brief spec is: Woosner forged pistons
    Shot peened rods
    Pelequin diff
    Gt35r turbo
    450cc injectors
    H&R coilovers
    G60 brakes
    Bbs replica wheels
It's running united motorsport software with an apexi avcr boost controller set at a max of 1.4 bar and 1.25 for daily driving.
After winter main plan is some new wheels to be able to fit bigger brakes
Here's a couple of my mk1 too it's just a bog standard 1.1 with 16" rs' and coilovers
