    Looking at a set of wheels that are 17x8 et 35 with stretch tyres on, just wondering if there would be any fitment probs with the width, car is not very low but can be adjusted anyway, any input much appreciated

    Little revival on this, would a corrado 16v box have the same fd as g60 box from what ive read they are the same but wanted to make sure before I bought one. Box code AGC

    not low enough but if i lowered it anymore i wouldnt get on the kerb at work so im holding off on the low low for now

    sadly didnt make it tonight, finished the car about 9 after waiting for a mate for help then clutch bleeding probs but all ok now, bring on next month!!

    finally finished!! took it all apart and compared every clutch part and found the release bearing was slightly bigger which was over compressing the clutch so i fitted standard one and all is well woop woop

    putting the box back in as we speak after having some clutch trouble, with any luck i MIGHT be there lol

    thinking back over the job im starting to doubt myself about what way i put the clutch plate in. im sure i put it in the right way, if i didnt it would literally not select gears and the pedal would feel crap, thats what ive experienced with the vans. would this be the case with the golf??

    Yeah I've had the cylinder off to check its not mis aligned, funny thing is it was ok before I stripped it to do the work now it's dragging like a b*tch lol :s

    jumped in the car for first test run after doing chains and clutch etc and its hard to select gears, seems like the clutch is really dragging. i didnt touch the hydraulics other than to remove from the gearbox after a closer look i thinks its passing fluid slightly, i have bled it and its still the same so going to get another,now im wondering if my clutch fork was/is a bit bent, anyone had this ??
