  5. Anyone bought and received anything from this member or know him personally? I bought a ported and polished head from him which was advertised on this site. It was a good 6 months ago i Paypal'd the money over. I was set to pick it up when i went to edition 38, which i couldn't make it to, so i emailed and all was well, i was to arrange a courier after he wrapped it. I have now been told that he has been robbed and doesn't have the head any more. I am trying to get in contact to get my money back, though i am not getting anywhere. I have spoken to him on the phone and text / emailed him befor
  6. I thought of this as well, though 4 bolts seems a bit overkill, I'll whip it off and re-fit later, just en case
  7. At the rear end of the exhaust tunnel (nearest the fuel tank) there is a bar with 4 bolts mounted across the car - what is it for? Is it simply to strengthen the chassis? Thanks all!
  8. Many thanks Luke! I should have read a bit more before purchasing really Thanks!

I also now hav

  16. I dont know if i'm looking in the wrong place, but the only ATP manifold i can find for the 12v is also an inline mounted one http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tp&Product_Code=ATP-VVW-003&Category_Code=VVWM If they had one more like the R32 it would be more useful imo http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tp&Product_Code=ATP-VVW-200&Category_Code=VVWM. I'll keep hunting though!
  17. Currently have a manifold like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-VW-Vento-Jetta-Bora-2-8L-VR6-12V-Cast-Turbo-Exhaust-Outlet-Manifold-/321036956856?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4abf4b34b8 Though my turbo (t4) wont fit between the engine block and the bulkhead! Is this a common thing? What has been tried and tested previously and what manifolds do people recommend using in a turbo set up? Any pictures also appreciated! Many Thanks, G
  18. Thank you Fishwick for the information, I will definitely have a look into it!
  19. Much appreciated, Sorted thanks!
  20. I have had a read through the link and think i understand a bit more, thanks! If i buy a wastegate for the time being ie. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370635863109?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 this one at the bottom end of the price scale with a 17.4 psi spring. Does this mean boost will build up to and slightly over 17.4 psi and then stop building? Edit: Providing the other parts are up to it
  21. Anyone? Usually plenty of knowledge on here
  22. Looking to gain some knowledge on Wastegate's, I think i'm going to purchase this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370635863109&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en wastegate for my turbo set up. Are the spring's pretty universal? ie fit different wastegate's? Also, am i right in thinking that if i buy an 18psi spring, i will then be running 18psi through the turbo and if i want to up this, i will have to change the spring? Thanks all! G
  23. Thanks all, Much appreciated! And yup, running an external oil cooler
