  1. Where is you wideband located? If it's in the tail pipe then I've seen plenty between 16-21 on idle. But it's fine when wot.

    You seem to be testing half a job. Get it all plugged up and any leaks you know of sorted 1st then take it for a drive to test for correct readings.

  2. Use a wideband afr reader to check fueling via your exhaust. If it's ok then not to worry.

    If the ecu is not registering a signal from the lambda then it should switch to closed loop and just use the fuel map rather than use the lambda

    You may find you haven't fitted the correct sensor. Lambda's aren't all the same. You'd need to find the correct matching sensor from oem.

  3. Depends on the limits of the block. The machine shop should have all the specs for tolerances regarding minimum thickness for cylinder walls.

    I don't particularly know the answer. But I would think that as they already do a 2.9. Then boring it out to accommodate larger pistons there by making it a 3.0. This wouldn't be a massive difference in piston size to accommodate 0.1-0.2 increase!!!

  4. Have tried fitting a stereo in the car today but came across a strange problem.

    The std harness was connected to a radio harness to plug directly to stereo. But the ignition and power were wired directly to power. I know vw switched the power and ignition from a std setup. But unless the stereo is wired with both going to power only. Then I have nothing.

    I have tried a volt meter to see what happens on the std harness. But I get nothing when I earth it and turn ignition on.

    Ideas??

  5. Pcv valve should be inline on a hose from rocker cover. It should go back into the intake system. If you've now fitted a catch can. You need to block where the hose was going to on the intake side.

    So what you've done is fit New hose from rocker to can then back to intake??
