  1. easily, the parts are readily available. you all doubt it... but it's been proven time and time again. you say run safely, so bolting on a super charger and leaving it like that is safely? not difference to bolting on a turbo. let me just prove it to tou. quite simple!
  2. NOW I'M JEALOUS...... i'm deffo going to join the VRT club and to be honest, it can easily be done for 1k.
  3. ts repair able if you know what ya doin.... unfortunatly i dont have a scoobies.... maybe i'll strip it all back and solder this time rather than using butt connecters? sweeney, i think your right, alot of other people have said this about those 3 plugs
  4. i dont want to give up on that loom, as it will help alot of things out. but i seam to admit defeat and just buy another ODB1 loom.... and extend that. i'm gutted really asi really want to us the oe loom. i mean maybe some of the wires arn't getting power... i dunno and give up.
  5. well i have done the ODB1 engine check on the web info here, and i have an ODB1 engine as i have checked here: ODB1 or ODB2 And after the simple visual checks its came back as an ODB1
  6. Strange he said it was a late obd1 coil pack 2.8? But doesn't look anything like my loom...
  7. So I need odb1 coil pack outta a golf rather than a vr6 odb1 corrado? Only cause I got offered a vr6 coil pack odb1 and the fuse connecters look completely different??
  8. Hey hoooooo You guys are probes fed up of me by now, but I do need some help here, I would like to know finally once and for all what engine/ loom I have pretty please!!! On the side of the engine there is a sticker saying AAA coil-pack then loads of number with a barcode. BUT when my friend bought me over his vr6 AAA coil-pack loom, the car didn't fire and the loom was wrong! I then did some research into ODB1 coil-pack fuse plug connecters, to find that mine are similar, but would like a few gurus on here to help clarify the situation. Hi mate heres soime pics of my fuse box part of the engi
  9. Yea the black and brown was from the coil pack which was an ecu earth feed as you said. I double checked all the wires were getting earths which they are now I need to double check there all getting power. Which i presume I would do by havin someone inn the car cranking whilst I check, I got my little bulb with 2 wire that I'll be using to check for positive. Also whilst I'm here I'm so confused as to what engine/ loom I have , the engine says AAA but after some research my loom looks like and ODB1 anyone help?? Got some pics of the fuse plug connectors Hi mate heres soime pics of my fuse box
  10. Will need a good 2/3ft of extending for the headlight loom n engine plug loom, if u have a soldering iron.... Use it took me best part of 2 days 2 cut n extend!!!
  11. Ha I have done this, and from experiance i would suggest you get another loom to use, so you can use the same colorband ohm wiring... And only cutband extend 1 wirevat a time unless you want to be like me and do endless amounts of back tracking to find out what you've done wrong I have run my headlight loom down the wing (drivers side) and the engine loom down the passenger chasis leg and located the ecu inside of the car behind the centre console
  12. you lucky barrrstard!!!! lovin the vrt's right now
  13. what an absolute horror of a thing to see whilst eating my shreddies
  14. every engine in here at the minutes amazing.....
  15. Cheers matey!! I may look into turbo'n this year but getting a 2nd engine and rebuilding it and then turbo it so I know it's nice new n fresh
  16. see the potentiol with the jag rims on when there fully polished and brought back to life by mike.... can't wait... gonna run with 30mm spacers on the back and 20mm on the fronts.... at the mi8nute the backs are on 25's
  17. c0ck n ball i say......... good on ya jezza!!
  18. i had a thin black and brow wire from the ecu going to the plug on the coil pack, it wasnt earthing so i put a wire from there to the negitive on the batt, couldnt see if it were that or not cause my bat died.... aarghhhhhhh
  19. ok buddy thats cool. Also, after extending my loom i had to cut the crank sensor and knock sensor, after some serious reading, have later found out that this could also be causing a problem.... if the ECU senses that the engine isnt cranking then why sould it make the sparks spark.... so possibly worth a volt meter check tomorrow to see if there getting the correct voltage.... as all this could be down to them not being done correctly!
