Thanks for the help guys turns out it was the o ring in the header tank cap. Result.

When my vr gets up to temp it starts throwing water out of the overflow on the header tank. Has anyone got any ideas as to what the problem is?

Just found some pics of the bbs before refurb.... After considering selling the bbs buying some new wheels and then chagning my mind again... i decided to refrub the bbs. This is what they looked like, some bad damage here and there... Two of the lips where badly damaged... so i split the rims and removed all the lips. Wasnt too bad a job went easier than i thought it would. Most of the bolt holes had the paint bubbling round them this took alot of sanding and some very sore fingers lol but it was all worth it =) Heres the finished result....

If its smooth wear could be a bush gone... If its feathering it could be tracking. Oh dear... Well atleat its in good hands now =)

it could possibly be a snapped spring... or maybe when he replaced the strut for the mot he put a second hand strut and spring form a diffrent car on and now one of the springs has more wear than the other causing one side to be weaker. as for the wear what sort of wear is it? smooth just on the edge? half the tyre?

Hi guys i have a slight missfire at low revs and when i let off the accelerator in gear down hills for exmaple i can hear the exhaust popping... i plugged it into vag-com but no faults where found. Anyone have any ideas?

Sorry to jump in.. I havnt got one but i have been searching for one to borrow for ages... dont really want to buy one just to do my car then have it sat around collecting dust. I would be intrested in borrowing one also =)

Different struts wont make a diffrence in ride hight. Its the springs that do the ride height. A coilover kit would come with new struts and spings.

Thanks for the comments guys... A mate had the vento front on a gti he bought. He only bought the gti for the engine and was gona scrap the rest so i took the front end off him for about £40 =).

Yea I was thinking 15's I'm a small wheel person having owned numerous polos but they just look soo small. I have some 17" bbs splittys atm. Just bored of them want some 16' s really just seen some nice 18's and was wondering.
