When I was a VWAction, Mr Potter and myself were avin a natter (whilst we were looking in my engine bay), about the induction kit and all the hot air in the engine bay. Anyways, Mr Potter says why don't you butcher an old air filter housing top, shouldn't be too difficult.......He's right................... it wasn't........... Whilst not perfect, It's a fairly tight fit, and I even cut a hole for the extra cold feed, and yes it clips in....... only issue is it's made the induction roar disappear, but it'll do for now!!!!!!!!!!!!

For everyones information. GSF are selling new third party coil packs for £78 that includes the vat. They can get originals at £158. Haven't asked about discount for being a VR6OC member though

the leads aren't that old, I bought them from Dubpower through the forum less than 3000 miles ago, so I had pretty much discounted them, and the plugs are about the same age..........the coilpack though is original, whats really annoying is I had a spare coilpack i bought early this year after reading about the problems they cause, then my mates coilpack jacked in so I sold it to him, for him to go and sell his car a month later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOT IT...I Think............. Took three days for the fault to come back and stay long enough for me to get the bonnet open and try pulling the plug leads off the coilpack............when I pulled the leads off (as you look into the engine) front middle, front right, rear left and rear middle the engine stuttered even more, but when I pulled the leads off front left and rear right there was no difference in the engine at all, even with both leads off!!!!!! So I'm guessing that seeing as there was no difference when these two leads were pulled, that the coilpack was not working on both of thes

As little as possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!............. I'm going to see about a car tomorrow.......not sure if I'll end up havin it though. More finance needed.......Problem i've got is that there are SOOOOO many cars to tempt me but all require finance, and I can't use my VR as a deposit/part ex as I need it for conversion parts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well with all the new projects that are coming up on here, and my car playing silly buggers, I'm SERIOUSLY thinking of breaking my current VR and starting something new......... My dilema is what to do.........It's got to be VR related either now or eventually, but I don't have loads of money so it's gonna be long term, and seeing as it's a daily runner, I need to be looking for something that is currently working. I'll probably be using my current VR as a donor (dependant on what the fault is)!!!!!!!!!!! I have an idea of what I would like to do but lets see what others come up with!!!!!!
