    Basically my gearbox has gone and im in process of finding a replacement. What i need to know is how long is it going to take me to do the swap and how hard is this going to be without the use of a ramp? There's no way im paying my local garage 9 hours labour if i can do this myself Any help would be greatly appreciated Cheers Daz

    Just went to the shops and parked up. Came back out the shops, went to drive away and now have a nice grinding noise in first gear. No other noises in any other gears. Is my gearbox fu**ed? Any help greatly appreciated? Cheers Darren

Its just i cant make every meet as their all a distance fom me. I still might be going just will have to start saving pennies for fuel.

    Would love to go to this but its a hell of a trek for me from Plymouth. Why do most VR owners seem to be the other side of the world to me? lol

    Well we got back just after 7pm, only took us 5 hours to get back so wasnt a bad trip. Would like to say a big thank you to everyone that was their the weekend. All of you are a great bunch and made my first VR meet one to remember. Looking forward to my next VR meet now just need to work out when the next one is that i can make. Cheers All

    Well im off to bed now as im up at 2 to leave at 3 lol. Just spent the last 5 hours sorting my mates beatle out to head up after the wheel all but fell off. Shall see you all in the morning.

    Thought id drag an old thread up as im looking for some help on what oil to use as im going to change my oil before the haul up to bug jam for the weekend? Currently on 195,000 so what would people reccomend? Cheers Daz

    Looks like i might be the first their then as long as my mates beatle makes it lol. Gonna be a long old drive up at 3 friday morning but will be worth it once were their. So do we need additional passes for club camping then?

    Lol. Liking the sound of all the alcohol. Think we should just take a bar with us. Gonna have just as much alcohol maybe more! Does anybody know if there's a supermarket close by as im thinking of getting it all up their as i have 3 people in my car with their baggage so its taking up valuable drink space lol
