    maybe im reading this wrong, but do you mean they charged you extra after your £34 premium for the call outs? i was with the rac for 12 years and was realy impressed with them till june this year when they bipassed the heater matrix on the vr6 for me and totaly messed it up, causing a lot of probs that i shouldnt realy put on a public forum as im in the process of making a clam from them. as a result i changed to the AA, now im wondering if i made the right desison!!

    just changed the temp sensor, its idling a little better but is still stalling when i change down a gear now and then, ive got the speed sensor on order should be in tomorow, can anyone tell me where it is located?

    Thanks, ive got "the blue one" just got to find the time to fit it, and the speed sensor is on order from gsf, also got a new coil pack as the one on the car is looking rather old and knowing my luck will only pack up in a few weeks anyway lol. will let you know how it goes. anyone who isnt a premium member i recomend you join, its been worth it just for the discount at gsf.

    ok, my car has been playing up for a few weeks, stalling and not staring again without lots of throttle, over fueling, and just generaly driving lumpy, so much so i cant drive it, ive changed spark plugs, leads, and fuel filter, and the fuel filter made it run worse. anyway got a vag-com reader today and the fault codes it pulled up were 00522 engine coolant temp sensor 00537 oxygen sensor control 00513 engine speed sensor what do i replace, all of them? and if so can anyone tell me if these are easy jobs or should i pay someone to do it for me? any advivce would be gratefully apreciated *

    just ordered a VAG-COM, so will see what that brings up, but getting so fed up now ill probably just admit defeat and take it to a specialist, stealth is not far so thanks for pointing me in their direction. your right about the sound of the vr6, i need to remind myself that the 1.8t is sooooo common compared to my corrado lol as for legal action against the garage, i doubt i would get anywhere with it, its better to just cut my losses and try to fix the car myself now.

    ok, feeling realy fed up now, ive owned my vr for about 5 months, for 10 of the first 12 weeks of ownership it was getting warrantied work done to it, and has never realy run right since, after a few weeks of what seems to be the common problem of running lumpy and stalling, in which time ive replaced sparkys, leads, cleaned isv etc etc its now running worse than ever. i cant help but think why did i buy such a old temperamental car, instead of a golf 1.8t! someone please remind me before i lose my patience and get rid of it. :-(

    i found the paradas are great in the dry, but not to confident in them in the wet. let me know what you think.

    star city would be fine with me, just as long as it doesnt get to many boyracer types there? as that will only attract unwanted po po attention lol theres also tamworth servives, or corley servives (on m6) how does sunday 30th aug or 13th sept around 2ish sound?
