    I got a Vectra this weekend and mine has gone up 270 pounds compared to my vr 1560 pounds a year! grr i though it would be less seen as its only a 2.2

    I have had to give up on mine its got stolen from me and the back seats burned out so not too badly damaged also the gearbox had got worse and now is gone completly. I have now been forced to buy a vercra buy my better half, I told her the next car is an R32 though

    Yea my gearbox is on its way out and is getting recond next week so i'll be well happy when its sorted. and Andy we will sort something out in the near future

    145 a month for me i'm 26 with 4 years no claims, my NG7 postcode puts it up so much. it did go up around 400 this year for no reason

    it could be a bad earth, check to see if the cable coming from the starter motor is really tight.

    If doing it yourself its worth replacing the oil cooler, Its bad when they go wrong, you got any oil in the water yet?

    It was the earth off of the starter motor. i cable was slightly loose. cheers once again.

    i normally just take my car to the garage so don't have the best of tools to work with. where is the starter? it the only thing i dont know where abouts it is, is it next to the coilpack?

    Sounds crazy but where is the stater? next to the coilpack? i can see the earth strip on the bonnet are there anymore?

    Nope i don't you think the battery is screwed? i did try to jump start it but it was with a new civic thats got a rubbish small battery.

    Sounds crazy but i had the same problem as you and all it was was a rubber o-ring missing from the expantion tank cap. the oil thing could also be the oil cooler.

    Yea just get a T5 and kit it out look quite nice with bigger alloys and lowered a bit.

    It really does work, its 3p a litre more than the local sainsburys standard but 2p lees than super but I am getting about 3/4 mpg more than I do with sainsburys super.

    I am tempted by the V5 at the moment there are alot around from silly money. I just dont know if it will as much fun as the vr6
