    as far as i am aware there is only one mate got mine from vw as halfords didnt have any in stock was only 7£ ish they didnt mention anything about 2 kinds

    right thanks for that so as they are not connected any more do i need a new plug that comes pre wired or can i try and reconncet ? thanks for your help

    didnt think so on the top picture its the wire that is sticking straight up the isnt connected on the bottompicture its the 2nd wire from the bottom it looks white in the pic but is yellow it seems to sealed at either of the plug,is it a case of buying a new plug and connecting it up ?

    so it it right that the yellow wire is not connected and on the other side of the plug the grey cable isnt connected?,couldnt see were they had come loose from dosent really show on the pic what i mean

    yes it is ob2 the pipe you are on about is this in the picture it connects into the air filter sorry dont know tecnical terms lol

    right changed starter motor but still getting the clicking ,car will bump start ok, changed battery for one i know works fine,even tried my one in another car that worked fine,so i know its not the battery,i have noticed though this plug has a wire hanging out its located low down in the engine bay on the left hand side dont know if its got any effect on my problem but loose wires cannot be good

    yeah will do mate but at the moment not looking good so to be on the safe side will leave it this weekend dont want to mess you about know your busy,still want the stuff of you though ,will be in touch when i know more mate cars still in the garage by the way

    just trying to fine out if anybody is interested in a meet up on the wirral be good to see who is around the area faces to names etc,if there is any interest then post in this thread,was thinking around end of october sat 31st as i couldnt find any other meets on then thanks

    tryed that as well tony rolled car backwards and forwards trying to see if that helped got it booked in at a mates garage tommoro morning so hopefully he can fix lol seems to be one thing after another with this car at the moment lol

    just tryed battery on the volt/battery meter it says there is between 12/14 volts is that right ?

    all lights on dash light up so i assume it is ok was driving it this morning tony

    hi all ,i did a oil change everything went fine ,also did the fuel filter as well put everything back together tryed to start the car it started the first time but was sluggish then cut out,thought this was due to fuel filter not been fuelled up ,tryed to start it again but now all i get is a loudish clunk the a quiet click from the engine bay any idears?? had the started motor replaced about 2 months ago it was a simler sound when that went its a mk3 vr6 ob2 if that helps

    hi all,started my first oil change today emptyed old oil out no problems ,but couldnt get the oil filter housing off didnt have a socket big enough my question is is it a 32 or 36 socket i need will be going to buy one tommoro thats all thanks
