  8. hiya dan ment to txt you the other night,change of plans with work so not selling now if you still got the gearbox can you fit it as well?did speak to mike the other night about a few jobs as well
  9. i have a full replacement gear linkage cables and box sent you a p.m with my number in dan regarding tommoro
  10. hi how easy is it to change the gear linkage on my vr ? is it something i could do on my drive or is it best to leave it to a garage? if it is possible to do myself has anyone got a how to guide etc
  11. had a simler prob when i fitted my shrick turned out there was a crack in the manifold gasket,soon as i replaced it it cured my problems

It's not hard to do just takes time start with glove box then pass airbag ,airbag is connected up with a yellow plug take care when Removing this,steering wheel next ,behind all the airvents are screws as well ,all the stereo and heater controls Need to b removed use a flat headed screw driver to pop the vents out,now open bonnet remove the rain tray were your windscreen wipers are you will find a screw at each end these screws go through the bulkhead one comes out from were u removed the pass airbag I also removed the part that goes round the gearstick handbreak as it was easier to remove the
  13. thats pretty much how we did mine maybe not the perfect way but it worked for me gives you an idear at least
  14. Support the rear of the car on axle stands on the innder chassis box section in front of the axle mounts. Disconnect the ABS sensors and feed them out the bungs in the floor Disconnect the spring clips (2 on each side) on each end of the rear beam flexi hoses and free the flexis from the rear beam. Disconnect each brake line from the plastic clips along the trailing arms Unclip the calliper flexi hose spring mount using a flat blade screwdriver and a gentle tap on the retaining tab (inside the box section where the lower shock bolts onto the trailing arm) with a hammer Disconnect handbrake cab
  15. mine needed doing as well so decided to have a go myself,got some power flex ones ,hardest bit about the job for me was getting the old bushes outer metal casing off ended up just sawing with a hacksaw blade remebering to keep it level,did find a guide on how to do it will try and find it and post up here ,if you need decide to have a go yourself give us shout will try and pop down n help you out if you want
