    Thanks Guys.... I've spoken very nicely with the garage I use and the car is being squeezed in next week..... so hopefully it will be sorted quickly and it will be the simple thermostat fix.... Fingers crossed... I'll let you know how it gets on....

    Think i might have done the headgasket... not totally sure yet... we haven't looked... The VR6 lump is new to me.. only know about the old aircooled flat four and flat six http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?265478.0#post_265515 but if it is.. i'm not sure i will get it sorted in a month as we are still rebuilding a 2.1 engine for the camper which needs finishing first... plus if its a big bill the budget for the engine mods is out the window...

    Tonight i was brought home by the RAC... Who say that my headgasket has gone... and i'm wondering if it has ?? so my car is a 97,000 miles 1997 VR6 Highline.... Full VW History and fully serviced around 2000miles ago Problem tonight.. i had driven the car for around 25 mins then stopped for 15 mins and then drove again for 10 mins and then stopped again for around 15mins... and everything was fine and then drove the car for around 5 mins.,..water temp went through the roof and the temp light flashed.. stopped the car.. popped the bonnet... to see what was what....no water leaks... water wa

    I'll be at VW Action at Santa Pod... Had an orsum time last year... even though i broken my bus... i ended out helping out and sorting the pair lanes for the night racing... which i have to say what fantastic.... Shame that the sunday was wet... but that just UK weather for you... I will be out on track for this years night racing as a VWDRC special guest... and i know the european guys will be coming over again.... just to make sure everyone knows the peak performance is on the sunday this year not the saturday...... so general RWYB will be on the saturday....

    Thanks... I know the basics I guess... I still think I could improve and better the basic skills I have. i think even the best photographers are always learning.. Trying new techniques.. i find the more photos i take the easier i find it... I have quite a few cameras.....The two digital ones are Nikon' date=' a D40X, and a P5100. The P5100 the my point and shoot one... has some slr features but its easy to use and carry around. The D40X is an SLR. I have a selection of lens 18-55mm, 18-200mm and 55-200mm i think... also have a separate flash unit, lens filters, tripods etc etc I'm not r

    a heater oh you lucky so and so !!!! even worse for us because of the very slow 6 hour drive back to the port we could not even have a drink :-( :-( :-( this was packing up at lunchtime !! if it's like this at the pod I am not camping !! Ok you win on the snow front and i win on the drinking :-p
