    if they need replacing VW are around £100 but i think you can get Bosch ones from GSF cheaper?! Also might want to check the air flow meter, unplug it then plug it back in to see if there is any change in idle, and if its a panel filter take it out and clean it they can get clogged up this time of year!

    Thanks... i will however have it off the road again early new year as i want new sills welding few bits of rust taken out, and when i sell my porsche hopefully either charge it or re-spray not decided yet!! lol

    oh ok lol yea check them, then check leads (condition/connection) and spark plugs! while your at it might as well do a full service! lol Good luck dude!

    might sound daft but i had a similar problem with my old golf, turned out the CAT was fooked and was causing the loss in power.

    Thanks guys... Craig and big oil leak eventually found out that it was pissing out oil from a sensor everytime you started the engine, also had running issues and a coolent sensor problem, all seem to be fixed now though! Yea i cant believe how much i missed it!! iv been driving my 944 while is been of the road which has no power steering or engine grunt like the VR, little things like that make it worth getting back on the road!!

    Hi all just thought id say hi & that my VR is now back on the road after being off for three months!! had a few major issues on it but seems to be purring again now!! still got a few parts to replace but kinda run out of funds until i sell my 944. Well anyway hope all are well and had a great Xmas!!

    Nope only had it serviced 2weeks ago..but i will check it in the morning...if oil levels are ok...what else should i be looking for?

    HI peeps, over the last few days my car has been randomly beeping at me, no warning lights come up at all, seems to me like it only happens when i go above 3k rpm. never had this before have no idea what it means or were its coming from?! the car has come down with a nasty ticking noise too not sure if this is related? all appreciated getting worried now thanks

    Right decision Made!! im going to go and hopefully buy a porka tomorrow.... now this will give me chance to take the VR of the road give it to mate mate over winter to sort out the underside and other issues ready for next year! ideal best of both worlds for me, im getting a bargain i hope so i wont be that worse off if anything at all i should save afew pennies.... i will update you all once iv looked at it/bought it!     The only Jap car id have would be a skyline twin turbo! lol I understand but im strictly German, anything VAG inc... porsche mercedes bmw....that kinda thing lol

    Yea thats my other option, buy a dailey driver to conserve the mileage of the VR... these are the decisions i face....lol

    i know i know, and i know that its only just run in, but it purely in my head im scared of something serious going wrong with it, not that iv had any problems what so ever to date...i just think if i could get a younger chasis/body then it takes half my problems away instantly...i have slight rust issues underside! lol

    I think it can look good with a certain style, however i do think the chequered roofs/mirrors etc have been overplayed now and feel its a more common get out of having a re spray or thinking or something different... just my opinion though
