    My car was doing this, noticed mainly on a cold day. I also noticed that it stopped after say 10 minutes driving and nipping into Tesco. Since the 'warmer' weather of the past two weeks it has been fine! Saying that, I have topped the oil up, maybe just maybe that noise is related!!

    So, would the main factor on changing to independant 'make' of exhaust, be the slight offering of improved torque? I know it ain't going to be into the lambo territory but then again I don't want constant wheel spin, when I power off!! I quite like the standard growl of my de-cat exhaust! But I would never write off the chance of my car sounding like Aston, when I don't have Aston money!! Talking of money, knowledge of prices of said exhausts would be appreciated (full system) and would it be acceptable to try and get a 2nd hand one?? As a guide what's a decent price for 2nd hand one??

    Bit of a query this, does a full Miltek exhaust system improve the overall bhp of my VR6. My pal said it would improve it by maybe 20bhp?? I don't know, do I believe him or not???

    Hi, I changed my front discs and pads due to severe bout of rotational squeaking!!! They needed doing anyway. I continued to have a squeaking noise and from advice I received (brake pads contain loads of shite nowadays) I purchased a new set. I put them on yesterday, fine no squeaks then this morning I was out and about after 5 mile the squeak returned. Please help, anyone!! It's driving me insane, aaaghhhhhhhh!!!!!

    Cheers for the advice Monk, I can't see anything happening now, 6 years ago now but then again could be a weirdo pc, could have room full of CCTV footage of me, pictures completely covering the walls. Saying that, I did find a fork stuck in my rear drivers tyre on my navara. Woooooohhhh scary stuff!!

    Taxi drivers, do they possess a unique license which allows themselves to become pig-ignorant, not acknowledge you by means of a wave at a passing point, don't even adhere to ego has right of way at said passing point, still go through!!     I had the same problem, had a pal locate my immobiliser and took the serial code off that, plus a stamp from the garage where it was done and of course the date, direct line accepted this form of proof!!

    Vrsick, I remember a pal of mine placing a smoked haddock on the air inlet, for a laugh mind! Even when it was removed, the smell just lingered!!! This was some 18 years back when we were 17! Great days!!!

    First car was a polo g40, wow, for a 1.3! Fair do's it had a lader strapped on board. The amount of people who didn't know what it was!! Truly was an amazing small car!!!
