    lol yeah very large topic really. Look at the tyre profile of a F1 car cant say they handle badly. Not exactly what we are talking about but you get the idea.

    I understand that as the tyre gets thinner so the ride comfort suffers, and I'm not worried about what the others are saying, just playing along with everyone else.....It's all a personal choice at the end of the day. Also I think I will end up getting 16's when I can actually afford the ones I want, but I'll keep the 17's as I haven't seen a Mk3 with them on, Neither had HAMMER_VR6 who I got them off. But regards the acceleration bit I'm getting confused, as the overall radius will be the same. Also surely the 17's will offer better handling as there is less tyre profile, so less flex!!?? L

    If you allready have the wheels try them out if you dont like it change back to original and sell the 17s. On the otherhand if you like the ride and look keep them as long as you are happy thats all that matters.

    Acceleration and handling suffer. Ive never experienced 17s though only what people have said. I had 16s and 15s
