    After reading all this its now made me rethink about what to go for. untill i read this thread my mind was setup on going down the stage 2 rotrex route now ive got to start the decision all over agin lol. Everyone needs to go out in a VRT Got to agree Kev the noise was irritating lol funny you say that shaun as everytime i go to jkm and see your car i think wouldnt it be great if he was here and took me for a spin lol. my cars currently there for the next week to have headgasket and radiator replaced so havent drove it in a while.

    ok cheers will give this a try and hope it cures it also going to get anouther silencer put onto exhuast sytem so they can get a better weld on the pipes

    Hi all car is finally booked in with jkm to have headgasket and radiator replaced. Anyway When i was driving along the other day i put it into 3rd gear about 50mph and car sounded awrfull was like it was stuttering through the exhaust. it only did this occasionly not constant. I went back to the company who fitted my vortex exhaust sytem and they said if you get any holes in the sytem it will stutter as the vortex back box is desinged to suck the gases out. they rewelded a hairline crack and said all waz good. I picked the car up agin 2nite and it is still doing it occasionly. i waswondering i

    has anyone used dubpower ht leads the 7mm ones are £35 for a set seems bit cheap but was going to buy one of these and a low running thermostat. what does everyone think.

    antihero1981 have you looked at the quickshift induction kit thats a stainless one with no oil additives im thinkng of getting it as it will save getting shit on the maf

    if your going turbo route try giving jkm a call seem to no there stuff and radostorm got his corrado done in there. in fact it was in there only yesterday

    when i rang stealth racing up a few weeks ago they qouted around £3000 pound for a stage 1 supercharger setup that was drive in leave the car and drive out job. Thinking of getting it done later this year/ early next year. wats the diffrence in price between turbo and supercharged as still havent made my mind up as which route i want

    im currently getting headgasket, inlet manifold gasket, valve stem seals etc replaced with new bolts all round as headgasket is leaking and radiator has got a hole in it.

    im liking this thread as am to trying to get engine running spot on before fi. craggsy cant you use the 2 layered headgasket with steel in between. This seems to be what people are doing on the turbo'd vr6s

    sorry car is an obd2 80,000 miles and registered 1998 if this helps. also anyone no rough price for parts.

    Took my car in to jkm today for a headgasket test and coolant pressure test as after many weeks of trying to find leak i gave up. any way results are as follows. Headgasket has gone and my radiator is pissing out water. I know a guy who can do the work and im going to buy the parts for him. There parts im after are. Headgasket set, radiator, thermostat housing, low temp thermo stat, oil, oil fillter. where is the best place for these parts ie tps or gsf and is there anything else i need. pleae help me here. thanks

    ok cheers will have a look. have noticed very small amout of water in exhaust on small amount mind and have no smoke jst little steam when its cold.

    Ive been losing coolant now for around a month very slightly. about max to min in about 400 miles. so far i have changed the cap and the expansion bottle as water seemed to be coming out the expanison bottle valve. anyway im still losing coolant. The 2 pipes that go to where the thermostat housing is feel very hard after driving it. worried it maybe headgasket but i have no mayo in cap or oil in water. the cars an obd2 80,000 miles 1998 registered. if the headgasket has gone how much is this going to cost to replace any help much appreciated.

    thats good then as there 2 min walk away. mite look into turbo route for the vr. did u buy parts from america then get them fitte at jkm

    radostormvr6 is it you i read about in golf + this month. 400bhp corrado owned since new and live in jersey one hell of a car. so what jkm like only live round the corner from there. sorry to hijack
